Celebs hit the red carpet in style for the 70th Cannes Film Festival
Last night marked another event merging the film and fashion industry, the opening gala of the Cannes Film Festival.
The 12-day event celebrates films of various genres from all around the world that may not always be shown on the big screen.
Every year, the event, held in Cannes, France, is a full on show. This year’s dates range from the 17th to 28th of May.
The festival includes an opening and closing ceremony where hundreds of top films are displayed.
Although that is the main event, let’s take a look at some of the styles that were worn.
This year’s looks were absolutely stunning on stars like Bella Hadid and Will Smith.
This year, Hadid wore a beautiful blush custom satin Alexandre Vauthier dress. The split so high it caused a malfunction.
Hadid’s undergarments were captured in various pictures. However, as any other graceful model would do, she smiled and kept it pushing!

Here is a small recap of the opening ceremony and our top 10 looks of the night!

Elle Fanning wore a Vivienne Westwood dress. She described it as “a unicorn flower child at heart, mixed with a schoolboy and the occasional Cali surfer dude” with this look.
Bella Hadid once again wore a custom piece by Alexandre Vauthier, with a beautiful accent piece of the satire blue necklace.
Will Smith looked dapper in a casual black and white tux. He sported what is usually what is expected from any actor on the red carpet.
Julianne Moore walked the carpet in a Givenchy Couture gown that gave an amazing visual of cascading feathers which gathered at the bottom of the ruby red dress.
Jessica Chastain took to fashion’s most popular trend right now with the velvet dress and mosaic embroidery on her all black Alexander McQueen strapless dress.
Emily Ratajkowski kept her look very simple from designer Simona Barbier, but aside from the dramatically high split and plunging neckline, the jewelry is what takes the cake on this outfit.
Lily-Rose Depp looked like a beautiful Egyptian queen wearing major fashion label Chanel.
Naomi Harris’ dress screamed colors of Spring. The dress was very appropriate for this midseason switch in a beautiful long dress by Gucci.
Hailey Baldwin electrified the red carpet in her purple silk dress that had a plunging neckline along with a peplum waist by Twinset.
Sara Sampaio gave us met gala vibes in her red dress by designer Zuhair Murad.
