The royal wedding is right around the corner and the guest list is complete with a 15-year-old Canadian student making the final cut for an amazing reason!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are getting ready to say their “I Do’s in just a few short days. With the guest list already completed, one guest that will be in attendance is bringing a legacy of Princess Diana to the forefront.
Last year, Canadian student Faith Dickinson was awarded the Diana Award for her charity work with her company Cuddles for Cancer. The aim behind her charitable work is to provide handmade blankets to those who have cancer.
Faith, her parents and a few other youths who were awarded the Diana Award are packing their bags and heading to the UK to attend this royal event.
Faith says that while in London, she plans to
“take some blankets to Great Ormond Street Hospital. We don’t know how many yet, but our carry-on will definitely be blankets! We are figuring out whether to ship some beforehand too.”
It was Prince Harry alongside Prince William who at the special ceremony gave her this honor on behalf of the late Princess Diana’s legacy!
In her hometown, Faith did open a location for volunteers to come in help make blankets!
“I’m also going to open one in Alberta and maybe one in London because we have had some interest!”
As for her invite to the wedding, while the invitation did come as a major surprise, she did say,
“There is always the hope of meeting the couple, but if not it is such a great honor to be there at the ceremony.”
Take a look at some of the blankets she makes below and let us know what you think!
