The 70’s Is Back And Being Channeled Through Sunglasses

The recent trend of sunglasses is taking us back to the 70s!

When we think nostalgia, we think the 90’s trends in fashion.

However, we simply forget that the 70’s was also a great period when it comes to fashion. However, the 70’s style sunglasses are starting to make an appearance on more and more faces this season.

While we all know that it is fashion week time, what better way to debut your shades than at NYFW.

Fashion house Monse partnered with Morgenthal Frederics and took use of this time to showcase their summer 2018 sunglass collection that screams the 70’s.

While it’s been a norm to pick up a cheap little pair of sunglasses for a price ranging from five to ten dollars, the price tag o these will have you really wondering if you want them.

The tag on these glasses ranges from $475 – $495.

This collection has three different styles of glasses of aviators that were all handmade in Japan from acetate and titanium. Creators have said that this collection  has “a sense of mischief from the ’70s.”

But what makes these glasses so chic is the backside anti-reflective coating. That simply means you can see out, but they can’t see in. “The collection really came together naturally,” Jeff Press of Morgenthal Frederics said in an official press release. “Laura and Fernando are so confident in their vision, we were really able to achieve something sexy and sleek. I think the wash lenses were the perfect finishing touch.”
