No matter your stance on A$AP Ferg, this right here is sure to earn the A$AP Mob member a gold star. Over the weekend, Ferg teamed with The Children’s Village and People of Peace for the first annual “Ferg Health Fair” in Harlem.
Inspired by the passing of his father due to to kidney failure, Ferg invited over 150 children to participate in the event which offered free health exams, a voucher towards psychological treatment, basketball and boxing trainer and DJ lessons courtesy of the Jam Master Jay Foundation.
Ferg spoke with GlobalGrind about the message behind the event:
“Growing up, my Dad always emphasized the vitality of giving back to the community and making sure we never gave up on our dreams. His encouragement motivated me to never settle and he’s the reason I am where I am today, but I’m not the only one. My dad spent his life helping kids in the community stay off the streets and make something of themselves. He may be gone but his legacy lives on through the people of our neighborhood and all the lives he touched.”
This is awesome. Watch a full video recap from the Ferg Health Fair below:
