Aaron Hernandez Left Suicide Notes For Wife, Daughter, & Gay Jailhouse Lover

More details continue to emerge following the shocking suicide of former New England Patriot, Aaron Hernandez.

According to sources, investigators found the 27-year-old hanging from his cell, along with three handwritten notes next to a Bible that was open to John 3:16, the same verse that Hernandez had written across his forehead in marker.

One of the notes was to his fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, who was seen leaving her mother’s Connecticut home Thursday. The second note was to his four-year-old daughter, Avielle. The third and final letter was allegedly written to the former football star’s gay prison lover that is currently under suicide watch. Hernandez’s alleged prison lover is said to be the last person to see him alive before he took his own life.

According to DailyMail, inmates say Hernandez had been planning his suicide for weeks. It’s said that the former football star had even been giving away most of his personal belongings to fellow inmates and covered the floor of his cell in soap. In case he changed his mind about the suicide, the soap would have caused him to slip around and not be able to land firmly on his feet.

Hernandez met his fiance, Shayanna, while growing up in the same neighborhood and attending elementary school together. The two became engaged in October 2012, while she was pregnant, and she took his last name following his murder conviction in 2015.

Cardboard was also found jammed into the door tracks of his single-inmate cell to block entry into the cell.

Reports say, “There were no signs of a struggle, and investigators determined that Mr. Hernandez was alone at the time of the hanging. Mr. Hernandez was locked in his cell about 8 p.m. and no one entered the cell until a correction officer observed him at 3:03 a.m. and forced his way through the impeded door to render aid.”

It was later reported that Hernandez’s brain would be released to Boston University per his family’s wishes. Hernandez took his life the same day his former team was being honored at the White House.

Details following the shocking suicide are still pending.
