Adele’s next album, 25, is coming. First, go ahead and rejoice. The mouthpiece for broken hearts everywhere is releasing her highly anticipated album some time soon, confirming all of our hopes and dreams after the snippet of a new song aired during an X Factor commercial break. But unlike her amazing breakup anthem album 21, Adele says 25 is all about “making up with herself.”
The British singer broke her silence on the finished project and tweeted out an open letter to fans early Wednesday morning, explaining the theme behind 25 and how it differs from her last. “My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record,” she wrote. “I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did.” The multi-Grammy winner also apologized to her supporters and blamed the wait on “life happening.” During her four-year hiatus, Adele got married and gave birth to a baby boy named Angelo.
25 will reportedly reach us on Nov. 20.
