Gordon Ramsay Says Best Meal He Ever Cooked Was For Princess Diana
Celebrated British chef, Gordon Ramsey has cooked for a lot of people and been in thousands of kitchens all over the world, but the best meal he ever cooked was for the late Princess Diana.
The chef is currently filming Gordon, Gino & Fred Go Greek, a British TV series that has Ramsey and fellow chefs exploring food across Greek islands, and during Monday’s episode per The Independent, Ramsey said that the meal he made for “Lady Di” in the ’90s at Chelsea restaurant Aubergine was the “best meal” he ever made.
“Man, I think cooking for Lady Di once,” he said. And when Gino asked if she was nice Gordon replied, “Oh, beautiful,” comparing her beauty to that of the famous Greek island itself.
The famous chef is reported to have cooked leek terrine and the main course of sea bass.
“I mean, here’s renowned as the supermodel of the islets — Santorini — and she, by far, was one of the most gracious members of the royal family I’ve ever met,” Ramsay said.
