A Power Couple in all respects, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are known to have their part in various projects, but their latest one is all the way down under, in Sydney, Austrailia.
The Mogul couple has crafted a restaurant with inspiration from the Hip Hop industry and their union called, The Carter.
With the expected launch date set for February 12th, the bar not only channels Bey and Jay, but also takes inspiration from names like Kanye West, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G, and more, which are featured on their exclusive menu.
If you are a foodie, you could be trying plates like Nas’ Sticky Lamb Ribs with House Pickles paired with a gin cocktail called Pablo, or a dish of Obama fried chicken, waffles, with a side of seedless watermelon.
But what is a personalized menu without inspiration from the creators themselves? The couple has a plate called The Carter Chicken Wings or Beyoncé’s Hot Sauce Wings, which is a clear reflection of Bey’s popular Formation lyric: “I got hot sauce in my bag, swag.”
“The Carter was inspired by New York’s great architecture, food and controversial entertainment,” venue manager Chady Khouzame said. “Jay Z and Beyoncé have always been at the centre of controversy w which is what inspired our hidden messages in artwork surrounding the bar and the murals on the wall in the basement.”
Along with the spectacular menu is the amazing venue. The restaurant doors are covered in gold ceilings à la Watch The Throne, mixed with graffiti murals drawn by “a female artist from Melbourne who doesn’t want to be named.”
With a plethora of drink choices, you can choose to sip on drinks like vodka Kimye, a Tequila Hov, or cognac Obama Out, along with other cocktails named after some notable figures in the music world.
One of the major features of The Carters is the nightclub that it turns into at night called Magic City, which could be named after a popular Atlanta club, formerly known as Red Room.
