As many can recall, back in 2019 Eilish, who was 17 at the time revealed to Vanity Fair that she and Drake used to text. “Drake is, like, the nicest dude I’ve ever spoken to. I mean, I’ve only, like, texted him, but he’s so nice,” she said during her interview. Drake received tons of backlash for engaging with a then-underage Eilish.

In a new interview with Vogue, the now 18-year-old Grammy-winning artist is defending her relationship with the 33-year-old rapper.

“The Internet is such a stupid a– mess right now,” said Eilish of the negative response to her statements. “Everybody’s so sensitive. A grown man can’t be a fan of an artist.”

She went on to say,

“There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about,” Eilish told Vogue. “Like, you’re really going to say that Drake is creepy because he’s a fan of mine, and then you’re going to go vote for Trump? What the f**k is that s**?”

Aside from all that, Eilish dished on the Grammy Awards where she made history by becoming the youngest artist and the first female artist to ever snag the top four categories at the big show.

“That s**t was f**king crazy,” Eilish told the publication. “If anything it’s an exciting thing for the kids who make music in their bedroom. We’re making progress, I think, in that place — kids who don’t have enough money to use studios.”
