It’s Wakanda Forever at Howard University!
While serving a stirring commencement address at Howard University this weekend, ‘Black Panther‘ star Chadwick Boseman closed with the iconic “Wakanda Forever” salute to his alma mater’s faculty and students.
In addition to telling students that he too fought for problems during his tenure at Howard, which he called a “magical place,” he said: “You love the university enough to struggle with it. Now you have to continue to do that … Everything that you fought for was not for yourself. It was for those who come after.”
In addition, before the 40-year-old crossed his fists against his chest to firmly state, “Howard Forever,” he added: “The struggles along the way are only meant to shape you for your purpose. Press on with pride and press on with purpose.”
Also, as he called his alma mater a “magical place,” he added that is “a place where the dynamics of positive and negative seem to exist in extremes.”
