21-year-old rapper ‘Boonk’ was arrested on suspicion of possessing assault weapons and illegal narcotics at his Calabasas home. He was set free on bail on Friday.
John Robert Hill, also known as “Boonk Gang” with his more than 4 million Instagram followers, was arrested Wednesday at his home in the 3900 block of Ceanothus Place in Calabasas, Deputy Charles Moore of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
His arrest followed an investigation based on information received from a man who was in possession of narcotics and assault weapons.
Once the search warrant was underway at Hill’s home, the rapper was arrested on suspicion of possessing medication without a prescription and possession of assault weapons. He was booked at the sheriff’s Lost Hills/Malibu station and released the same day on $35,000 bail.
This is not his first run-in with the law. He has been kicked out of multiple malls for causing chaos and also includes a burglary arrest at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Miami for allegedly taking an entire tray of glazed donuts. He also has another arrest at that same Dunkin’ Donuts for burglary and petty theft.
