“I Can’t Imagine What Black People Go Through” Says US Woman Soccer Player Alex Morgan

Body cam footage shows the encounter between US soccer player Alex Morgan and officers.

It’s been a few days since Olympic gold medalist Alex Morgan was escorted out of Epcot Disney park.

Orlando police say Morgan, and Orlando City soccer players Giles Barnes and Donny Toia, and Toia’s wife, Courtney, were asked to leave Epcot Center after an argument at a restaurant.

Officials say Barnes cut in line before being escorted out. One deputy wrote in his report Morgan appeared to be “highly impaired.”

However, in the video that was released today, Morgan was actually, “not out of control or highly impaired.”

In the video, you can hear Morgan and the others arguing with the officers. She says, “You guys are lying right now. I can’t imagine what black people go through.”

Following the initial incident that occurred, Morgan took to Twitter to share an apology or her actions.

“Although I regret my actions last Sunday while attending the Epcot Food and Wine Festival with my family and friends, the video released today shows that while we were all caught up in the tension of the moment, I was not out of control or highly impaired. I used bad judgment and I was simply trying to support my friends.”

Morgan, Barnes and the Toias were all given trespass warnings for the incident, but no charges were filed.

Take a look at the video up top and pictures of Alex below and let us know what you think about the incident!
