HU Exclusive: Giving You The Keys To “Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” Premiere

Hollywood Unlocked was in the building as we attended the Los Angeles premiere for the”Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” at the Regency in Westwood!

The blue carpet was jam-packed with the cast and crew of the movie including, Tiffany Haddish, Chris Pratt, Jason Momoa, Will Arnett, Stephanie Beatriz, Elizabeth Banks, Tori Spelling and more!

You know we got the exclusive scoop from some of the main cast members, who revealed some of the weirdest places they have found Lego, and it was not censored!

“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” is a 3D computer-animated science fiction musical comedy film that is produced by Warner Animation Group. A direct sequel to “The Lego Movie” from 2014, the plot comes five years after the events of the original movie.

“The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” opens Feb. 8 in the US and UK and March 28 in Australia. Kisa and adults you do not want to miss it!

HU Exclusive: Black Ink Crew’s Sky Hosts LA Pop-Up For Her Little Secret Boutique

Since leaving Harlem for Miami to open her own business, Her Little Secret Boutique, Sky of VH1’s Black Ink Crew hosted an LA pop-up for her new all-inclusive and trendy shop — and Hollywood Unlocked was exclusively on the scene.

In addition to bringing out a good chunk of Los Angeles, cameos from fellow Black Ink stars, Walt, Tati and Toki, also in attendance were Memphis rapper Blocboy JB, super publicist Patience Foster, brand strategist Karen Civil, and many more.

While describing her shop, Sky says, “Art is fashion. With my store, I’m able to put art and fashion together. Because it’s an art gallery with clothes, basically.” Describing the shop, she says, It’s a girl cave, a cave for everyone [to be themselves], just to come through and shop, and get some good art and get a good vibe.”

If you’re on Instagram then you probably came across one of Cliff Vmir’s videos of him putting together an amazing hairstyle on his client or a big name celebrity. You also probably saw videos of the 21-year-old spitting a few bars over some hot beats.

Cliff is now hopping on a bigger platform to let the world know that he can snatch a wig and grab a mic at the same time, and the world needs to prepare for what’s to come!

On Sunday, January 13, Hollywood Unlocked got a sneak preview of his new digital series titled #WigOut on BET and it looks like viewers are in for a treat. Not only did we get to see Cliff lace his clients up, but we also got to see the hard work he’s putting in to become a hit star.

During the NYC screening and single release celebration event, we got to speak with Cliff to see how he’s taking this all in. Cliff said,

“It feels amazing that all my hard work has finally paid off,” Cliff told us. He also added, “what I want people to take from this show is that I’m a really sweet and genuine person and this series will let people see what really goes on behind my business.”

In a sneak peek of #WigOut, “Housewives of Atlanta” star Marlo Hampton suggest that Cliff should stick to hair rather than rapping. We asked him what is his message to people who feel the same way. He responded and said,

“People are always going to talk and share what they think people should and shouldn’t do… what I will say is that Marlo and the rest of the world are going to regret that in the future. Tune in.”

Cliff also dished on his music and told us that he has collaborations with Light Skin Keisha and Lil’ Mo. He also shared that his EP will be dropping soon as well!

Hollywood Unlocked was in the building for the second exclusive drop for the Karl Kani x Pretty Little Thing collaboration.

Karl Kani is back with another collaboration with Pretty Little Thing, and Hollywood Unlocked was in the building to give you an inside scoop.

Kani who is a master designer teamed up with the brand before, but this time he took a whole new direction.

He says that this collection was inspired by the ’90s with pieces like newspaper print layouts, oversized pieces, and a lot of solid colors with Karl’s logo printed on them.

What makes this collection special is the fact that PLT is known to be a woman’s brand, but Karl took it up a notch creating pieces that are unisex.

This event featured live models rocking some of the new looks as well as a lot of celebrity guests.

With the holiday season approaching, Hollywood Unlocked joined Trina’s Kids Foundation (TKF) for their 5th annual holiday toy drive at Hubble Studio in Los Angeles this past weekend.

This year Jake Paul joined TKF volunteers as they gathered to wrap & gift presents to the underprivileged children within the Los Angeles area. With the help of the foundation’s founder Vince Ricci and in memory of his mother Trina, TKF welcomed families to catered food, pictures with Santa and a winter wonderland.

All proceeds received prior to and after the gift-giving event are given 100% to the underprivileged youth in need within the surrounding Los Angeles communities.

TKF’s mission states:

“Trina’s Kids Foundation (TKF) empowers underprivileged youth through charitable donations to well established youth development programs and group homes. We believe TKF can make the biggest impact in the community by partnering with organizations that are already active at a grassroots level and focused on issues and causes consistent with our beliefs.“

HU Exclusive: Giving You The Keys To The Aquaman Premiere

While hitting the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Warner Bros Pictures ushered in the U.S. premiere of DC’s Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson and more.

Hitting the carpet for the IMAX premiere, Hollywood Unlocked spoke with the cast and crew about a torn-between-two-worlds Aquaman and the lessons learned as viewers.

Additionally, speaking with the film’s screenwriter David Leslie Johnson McGoldrick, he explains, “This is a very important theme for Jason, going in. The idea of coming from two different places, to have mixed parentage and maybe not knowing where you fit into the world. And realize that maybe this thing that people are telling you is your weakness is really your strength. Your power is actually coming from this unique upbringing that you’ve had; that nobody else has had.”

In addition, the leading actor Jason Momoa shares that the film has “a great sense of humor, there’s ton of action in it. It’s a world that we’ve never seen before. It’s a couple beautiful themes; when you walk out, like good movies, it sits with you.”

Aquaman hits theaters, Friday December 21.

Adding to the sixth installment to the Transformers series, director Travis Knight and actors John Cena, Hailee Steinfeld, Gracie Dzienny, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr. and more bring us Bumblebee.

While hitting the black and yellow carpet for the world premiere, Hollywood Unlocked exclusively spoke with the cast and producers about the December 21 due film; which tells the story of how the human-devoted Autobot lost his voice, sought refuge on Earth and eventually became that battle-scarred and broken-down yellow VW Beetle.

In addition to explaining how the cast and crew “took a lot of chances with this [film]” and how his character, Agent Burns, “is an antagonist, bringing a certain amount of jeopardy and stakes to the film,” John Cena says that the movie itself teaches viewers “to be accepting — keep an open mind and you’ll never know what you can learn.”

Additionally, partnering with Cena and the franchise is non-profit Thirst Project CEO Seth Maxwell, who shares that for a text sent throughout the film’s run, money will be donated to those who need it most. Learn more here.

Jason reveals that Gio made a few decisions that were not in the show’s best interests and there are just some things that can’t go down in any workplace! Meanwhile, Melyssa has been recovering from her accident, but, isn’t mentally prepared to share her story yet. Both of our long-term hosts will not be returning and they will be working on their own goals, however, we have a special new show lined up for the top of the year!

This week Cardi B and Offset left us broken-hearted after Cardi took to social media to reveal that their marriage was over following new cheating allegations. Our hosts wonder what they would do in the situation and even reveal that they have remained in relationships where infidelity was present. Jason believes Cardi and Offset should fight for their relationship. Jeroslyn says she believes in hall passes, but, it goes both ways!
