Floyd Mayweather On Losing The Mother Of 3 Of His Children, Josie Harris: “For Her To Come Back, I Would Give It All”
Months after the tragic death of Josie Harris — the mother of three of Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s children, the boxing star is now speaking out to share how he’s been dealing with the devastating loss.
During the premiere of “Hollywood Unlocked with Jason Lee: Uncensored” on Fox Soul, Floyd, 43, sat down with Lee and co-hosts DJ Damage and Blue Telumsa and shared how he processed Joie’s death and how he made it through. He told the hosts: “it was strong women around me” who helped him during that tough time.
While trying to share more, Floyd took a moment to gather his words as he became emotional: “I got to take my time when I talk about this,” he said before continuing. “Everything I asked for in life any and everything I thought about in life, I got. And I’ll say this everyday: just for her to come back, I’ll give it all, man.” Floyd went on to share that he “replayed this over and over and over in my head a thousand times and one thing I always say, God don’t make mistakes, everything happens for a reason.” He then took a deep breath and admitted that “it’s tough. Everyday I think about it, it’s tough. It’s very very touchy.”
Lee noted that Floyd usually pays for a lot of funerals but doesn’t attend them. However, it was important for him to show up and show out for Josie: “I had to,” Floyd said adding that her funeral was “beautiful.” “She was a great woman so I couldn’t put her in the ground. I didn’t want to throw dirt on her: a beautiful spirit a beautiful person, we couldn’t throw dirt on her. So, I got her a mausoleum.” He said that he also got her a white horse, casket and carriage that his daughter picked out. “When we went up the hill and let the doves go, it was good.”
Harris was 40 when she was found dead March 10 in her car that was parked in the driveway of her Southern California home. The cause of death was not released at the time because law enforcement placed a security hold on the case. However, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner, it was revealed that she died from an accidental drug overdose. To watch more of this interview, click the video below.

Floyd Mayweather Opens Up About Daughter Yaya’s Pregnancy: “If That Makes Her Happy We’re Happy”
Hollywood Unlocked with Jason Lee; Uncensored premiered last night on Fox Soul with guest star Floyd “Money” Mayweather. While speaking with Lee and co-hosts DJ Damage and Blue Telumsa, the champ held nothing back. He talked about many things including his successful career and love life but didn’t shy away from any other controversial topic like his daughter‘s pregnancy.
When asked how he felt about his now-pregnant daughter Yaya Mayweather dating rapper NBA YoungBoy —who has said a few disrespectful things about him in the past, the boxing star revealed that he simply just wants the best for her: “Always want the best.” Floyd said adding, “If that makes her happy, then we’re happy — me and her mother [Melissia Rene Brim] are happy. What I try not to do is be in her personal business because once she’s no longer under my roof, then you know what? it’s between her and her better half.” As for NBA YoungBoy who previously referred to him as Yaya’s “bitch ass daddy,” it didn’t phase Floyd at all. Here’s what he had to say about that:
“Well, my thing is this: it has to do with your upbringing. It starts in the home first, Floyd, 43, explained to Lee. “What I’ve always taught my daughter is this: always be respectful when you’re going to anyone’s home. And whatever goes on in your home, don’t talk about it to the world. As far as NBA… I look at NBA YoungBoy as a child. I can’t get upset with a kid like that.” He went on to say, “It could’ve been one of those days for him.”
Before concluding, Floyd made it clear that “at the end of the day, I only want the best for them.”

Draya Michele is making a return to your screens and this time it’s her own Docu-series!
The 10-part series, “Doses of Draya,” revolves around a behind-the-scenes look at her life and work, and it will be on Zeus.
“I’ve been on a pretty incredible journey over the past decade, and I’m grateful to my fans who have been with me through the ups and downs,” Draya said in a statement per Variety. “As a woman of color, I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Zeus, a Black-owned streaming service, to share my story, and to let people into my daily life in a way I never really have before.”
She added, “I’ve come a long way, from humble beginnings, and have continued to reinvent myself and evolve my brands over and over. I hope my fans have appreciated my honesty along the way.”
Draya will be the executive producer for the series, that will exclusively stream on Zeus.
