Socialites, check this out! Balenciaga and Crocs have teamed up for Balenciaga’s Spring 2022 collection, debuting some interesting stiletto clogs.

The new shoes that is currently being talked about all over social media comes in green and black so far. No price has been announced for the new shoe just yet but Balenciaga previously had $850 platform clogs that reportedly sold out before even being available in stores, Complex reported.

While many people have been rocking Crocs for a while, it has become a high-demand product in recent weeks. As it was previously reported, back in May, Nicki Minaj traded her heels for some Crocs and reportedly caused a 4,900% spike in sales of pink Crocs specifically, and even crashed the retailer’s website.

UPDATE: School Wants Student To Apologize For Wearing Mexican Flag At Graduation To Get His Diploma

As we previously reported, Ever Lopez, who is Mexican American, wore a Mexican flag over his gown at Asheboro High School’s graduation ceremony back in May. His move prompted the principal to ask him to take the flag off, but he couldn’t and was denied his diploma after the ceremonial walk down the stage, according to ABC.

“When I got up there I went for the handshake and I wasn’t thinking nothing of it and I heard her say, ‘You can’t wear that,’” Lopez, who is first person in his immediate family to graduate from high school, told the outlet. And I was in shock and confused. I was like, ‘What?’ She was like, ‘The flag. You can’t wear that.’” He went on to say, “My parents, my whole family, is from over there. I did it for them because they had a rough childhood; they didn’t get the scholarship that I got, or they didn’t get to go to school like I did. So … representing my flag and getting a diploma was really important to me, because I was basically doing it for my family.”

ABC reports that Lopez has not yet received his diploma yet. He said the school has asked him to apologize in order to receive it. “I don’t know why I should apologize, when it should be heard, because I did nothing wrong,” Lopez told the outlet.

The incident has sparked outrage and led to a protest outside the school. However, the school district insists that Lopez’s actions “violated the ceremony’s dress code” and “the incident is not about the Mexican flag.”

Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos Announces He Will Fly Into Space Next Month

Looks like Jeff Bezos found something to do once he officially steps down as Amazon CEO on July 5th.

This Monday, the billionaire announced that he is launching himself into space next month. He said he will fly to space on the first crewed flight of the New Shepard, a rocket made by his aerospace company Blue Origin. As it was noted, the flight is scheduled for July 20, just a couple of weeks after Bezos plans to resign as Amazon’s CEO. The date will also mark the 52nd anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. 

To make things more special, Bezos also said that his younger brother, Mark Bezos, will join him on the flight. “I want to go on this flight because it’s a thing I’ve wanted to do all my life,” Mr. Bezos said in a video posted to Instagram. “It’s an adventure. It’s a big deal for me.”
