According to the Autopsy and toxicology documents obtained by TMZ, shows that the singer had a trace amount of alcohol in his system. In addition to that, his blood also tested “presumptive positive” for MDMA- also known as ecstasy. Two additional urine tests failed to detect the drug. The autopsy concluded Chester was not under the influence of the drug when he died.

A prescription bottle of Zolpidem (the generic version of the sleep medicine Ambien) and a small amount of beer was found in Bennington’s bedroom. Police also found a pint glass of Corona and an empty bottle of Stella Artois.

Fingernail fragments underneath the Linkin Park frontman’s iPhone and on a bedside table was also discoverd, which his widowed wife, Talinda Bennington, told officials was something he’d do when he was anxious.

Bennington had “a history of alcoholism, depression, suicidal ideations and prior suicide attempts,” according to the gossip site. His wife Talinda told authorities just after his death that Bennington had been in an outpatient treatment program.

Police found no suicide note, but came across a journal. Bennington’s will listed his six children as beneficiaries. A live Linkin Park album is being released in memory of the band’s frontman.
