Chris Brown & Young Jeezy: “Flint water crisis is more important than #SoWhiteOscars”

Both Chris Brown and Young Jeezy have taken to social media to voice their opinions on today’s most current topics: the Flint water crisis and the Oscars Boycott.

Chris took to his Twitter to speak out on the lead contaminated water that Flint, Michigan residents are being exposed to:

While rapper Young Jeezy compared the severity of the two issues, concluding that lack of diversity in the Oscars is insignificant when it comes to the Mid-West water crisis:

So what is happening in the Mid-West?

Back in 2014, the water source was switched from Lake Huron to the Flint River as a cost effective measure. In April 2014, residents started to complain about taste, look and smell of the water, but complaints went ignored.

It’s being reported that due to the crisis, every child in Flint under the age of six, roughly 8,657, is considered to be exposed to lead, which has also led to serious health issues.

On Tuesday night, Gov. Rick Snyder will make a state of the state speech and address the citizens of Flint who are infuriated by the water crisis.
