Dr. Dre is back both in our earphones and on the charts.
According to Hits Daily Double, last week’s Compton release will net 260-275k in sales, not including streams which are projected at 290-305k. The tallies are good, but not good enough to land Compton at the top of the charts. Country’s golden t-shirt gawd Luke Bryan’s Kill The Lights will take top rank on the Billboard 200.
As HDD points out, Bryan’s advantage may only be in physical sales – Compton‘s release was digital only. But, Dre’s huge digital presence as well as Apple’s massive impact may give him the boost he needs to take the number one slot.
