Rapper Lil Xan reportedly needed help from the police after a group of angry teenagers pressed him about his recent comments on Tupac.
According to TMZ, the “Betrayed” rapper was chilling at a Del Taco in his hometown of Redlands, CA when he was approached by an angry crowd of teens who were upset over his controversial thoughts on the late great Tupac Shakur.
Despite not being physically attacked, Xan allegedly fled the group and went to a nearby YMCA for protection. Cops arrived and took him to his car. However, the police report states the teens were only at the Del Taco for an after-school fight that was set to go down.
Xan, who was in his hometown for a meet-and-greet, took to Twitter on Saturday morning to shut down the claims.
“The police were already with me to escort me to the meet n greet and I walked there i ain’t afraid of no Lil ass kid,” he wrote.

Lil Xan then used his scheduled meet-and-greet to clarify his earlier comments on Tupac to his fans.
“But for real, I gotta say something. The media twisted my words: I think 2pac is a legend. 2pac is definitely a legend,” Xan said as a fan responded,
“That’s what’s up.” Xan continued,
“That’s what’s up. 2pac a legend, they just twist your words and they want you to hate me. Don’t hate me. Positivity over everything.”
The 21-year-old rapper has been criticized after he referred to Tupac’s music as “boring” during an interview with Revolt TV. Rapper Waka Flocka responded by saying Xan was “banned from hip-hop” and actor Michael Rapaport said he doesn’t “get to speak on anything that has to do with hip-hop.”
