How many covers has this been for Taraji since the breakout of hit show Empire? Right- too many to count, however she’s at it again and looking as stunning as ever for the brand new cover of Bella NYC’s Holiday issue! Inside the issue Taraji takes a moment to dead all the rumors floating around about an offset feud with herself and co-star Terrance Howard. Taraji makes it clear that despite the rumors that is 100 percent false! She says ‘Where did that rumor come from that Terrance and I are feuding?’ she adds: ‘I fought to have him on the show. We’ve known each other for 10 years and worked together before. Why would I fight with someone I fought for? She also reveals that it was actually she and Howard who worked closely with producer Lee Daniels to pick the remaining series cast. She explains “We both loved Jussie Smollett right away and knew he was Jamal. We bonded; it was just natural with that kid.” ‘Lee and I have sons Yazz’s [Bryshere Y. Gray] age and we saw in him that confident, but not too confident, chest puffed out, with that swag that the character [Hakeem] represents.”
As for what she loves about her character Cookie Taraji notes “The boldness she posses and her ability to bounce back. Seventeen years in jail and it didn’t break her spirit, she was just on pause.”
