In an effort to protect her infant daughter Zoey from her alleged abusive husband, Tammy Brawner has officially filed for divorce from Darius McCrary, citing the cause of irreconcilable differences. Brawner also wants the judge to keep McCrary far from their daughter until he seeks help with his alcohol, drug, and anger issues. Additionally, she wants his visitation rights completely severed until the “Family Matters” star can prove he’s a rehabilitated man.
This comes during McCrary’s intense battle with dueling claims of physical abuse towards Brawner and daughter, leading to their February 10th separation. Her filing, dated March 9, states:
“I request (McCrary) attend alcohol/drug abuse and batterers’ intervention classes, and that he does not receive any visitation until he provides proof of completion.”
Brawner has also asked for spousal support in addition to full legal and physical custody.
If you remember, prior to their separation, Brawner alleged that McCrary hit her in the head with his forearm and once held Zoey over a boiling pot of water. “The Young and the Restless” actor denied all claims in his own counterclaim and restraining order against Brawner, who he claims was the real abuser after she verbally abused him and attacked him with a hot flat iron. Check out McCrary’s below post since the allegations first broke.
