It looks like rapper Drake has reason to celebrate, as he’s become the first artist to hit the 10 billion streams mark on Spotify. The majority of the streaming numbers came from his album “Views,” according to Forbes. Being released last April, that album alone brought over two billion streams.
Drake’s most popular song is “One Dance,” which has accumulated 1.15 billion streams alone. It was also the first track to hit a billion plays on Spotify in December. His other hit songs, including “Hotline Bling,” “Too Good,” and “Controlla,” are also proving to be fan favorites.
Don’t expect Drake’s streaming success to slow down anytime soon, as the rapper is getting ready to drop his latest material, the highly-anticipated “More Life” project, this week.
Though Drake has been rushing to finish the songs as he’s on the road in Europe for his Boy Meets World Tour, he is assuring fans that new music will be arriving soon, as he promised while performing in Hamburg, Germany last week.
