A shootout left several people injured after a fight between several men was broadcasted via Facebook Live.
The Facebook Live video captured by a tourist went viral throughout much of social media. Several men began to fight while on a popular Myrtle Beach strip. Following the altercation, the video shows one of the men pull out a gun and fire several rounds. An armed security guard witnessed the incident and reportedly exchanged fire with the suspect. The suspect fled the scene after stealing a vehicle.

Authorities were able to locate the vehicle, and the suspect was later apprehended and identified by police. However, his identity is being withheld until he is cleared medically and warrants are served.

Bubba Hinson, the man who captured the entire incident, can be heard in the video warning people to “stay away from Fourth Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard.” Hinson is a volunteer firefighter and was in town for an SC Fire-Rescue Convention. He told Myrtle Beach Online that he thought the huge crowd was “dancing,” which led him to start the live broadcast.
As a result of the shooting, seven people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The security guard suffered a graze wound to the leg.
