A party foul was committed after an FBI agent got a little too excited and accidentally shot someone while dancing!
On Tuesday, an FBI agent who accidentally shot someone at a bar in Denver while dancing turned himself in.
Reports say that 29-year-old Chase Bishop is currently being held at a detention center where authorities are investigating him for second-degree assault. Spokesman Jay Casillas has reported that formal charges from the District Attorney’s Office are still pending.
The incident occurred while Bishop was dancing in the center of the bar and went to do a back handspring. Once he got up from his move, the gun fell out of his holster and hit the floor. When he went to retrieve his gun, it went off hitting one person in the lower leg.
Once he realized what had happened, Bishop walked away with his gun back in his holster and his hands up!
According to CNN, an attorney for the victim said the bullet hit a main artery and that he could have bled to death, if not for a person who applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg.
“It is shocking that the only shooting to ever occur at our establishment came about as a result of an FBI agent entering our distillery tasting room carrying a loaded firearm without our knowledge, in violation of our rules,” the bar said.
