George Zimmerman just can’t live his life in obscurity, can he?
Zimmerman, the man who walked free after fatally shooting Trayvon Martin in 2012 and continues to be free after numerous other violent encounters, is selling – get this – confederate flag art.
Jesus, help us.
Zimmerman is selling the signed and numbered prints of his painting to raise money for the legal costs of a friend who owns the Florida Gun Supply, which he declared a “Muslim-free zone.” WHAT IS LIFE RIGHT NOW!?! His friend, Andy Hallinan, is currently being sued by the Council on American Islamic Relations after issuing that obviously targeting comment.
If this isn’t a prime example of “birds of a feather flock together,” I don’t know what is.
Zimmerman explained the meaning behind the painting with Florida Gun Supply:
“The caption, ‘the 2nd protects the first’ is a double entendre. The first flag I painted on this canvas was an American Flag, but decided to repaint over it with the Confederate Flag when I heard Andy [Hallinan] was getting sued by CAIR. The 2nd flag I painted was the Battle Flag — which we need in America in order to protect the first.”
According to the Florida Gun Supply website, a print purchase guarantees you an entry to possibly win Zimmerman’s original painting. Because, that’s gonna look good on your wall guys.
