Budden unabashedly names Reid “a sexual predator,” claiming these allegations previously arose during his Def Jam tenure. Budden also believes Reid has no place in Hip Hop, calling him “an executive definition of a flop;” adding, he was also booted due to his wasteful spending at Epic, as he did at Arista and Def Jam.
“Everywhere that he has gone, he has spent more than has come in. He has spent more than was generated everywhere he has gone.”
On Reid being a predator, the “Pump It Up” rapper says:
“Let’s let the cat out of the bag. These rumors were circulating at Def Jam. There was an assistant, multiple assistants at Def Jam, that said L.A. Reid liked to call 18 and 19-year-old girls into his office. I don’t think this is a secret in the music business.”
Similar to Bill Cosby and Bill O’Reilly‘s sexual assault situations, Budden states that the companies behind Reid have paid women to “be quiet before.”
“This is L.A. Reid. This is who he is. And any label, television show, anybody that hires him…you are hiring a sexual predator and you should do your due diligence to check it. Lawsuits are coming! Good riddance! Bye L.A.! Hip Hop is a better place today without L.A. Reid. Good fucking riddance.”
