Erykah Badu held no punches at the Soul Train Awards over the weekend as she fired some clear shots in Iggy Azalea’s direction. “Oh, no, no, no, no, you can come,” Badu exclaimed while pretending to be on the phone with Iggy. “‘Cause what you doin’ is definitely not rap.”
It seems like the Australian rapper may have finally responded. Iggy jumped on Twitter today breaking her month of social media silence to address fans. “[I] know it’s been a while,” she began. “We are days from 2016, but i came online today and saw its still cool to try and discredit my 2014 accomplishments. LOL, fucking hell.” She goes on to tell fans that her new music is done but that she’s just trying to figure out how to restructure things since she lives in America but is technically signed out of the UK. “Things are complicated,” she says. Mostly, it seems like Iggy is preparing for a busy 2016 as she leaves with, “[See] you next year! enjoy the rest of 2015. xoxo.” You can read her tweet below.
