Kim Kardashian Enlists Her Legal Team To Support Former Child Sex Slave, Cyntoia Brown

Kim Kardashian is using her celebrity in a good way by enlisting her legal team to help former child sex slave, Cyntoia Brown.

According to reports, the reality star was shocked and disgusted by Cyntoia’s case when it went viral all week.

The public discovered Cyntoia was serving a life sentence after killing her abuser out of self-defense.

Reportedly, Kim enlisted the help of her lawyer Shawn Holley to help the campaign – and that as well of Alice Johnson’s – another prison inmate whose case has gone viral.

Brown, who is now 29-years-old has been serving 13 years of a life sentence.

Kim took to her social media to vocalize her opinion about the case.

” The system has failed. It’s heart breaking to see a young girl sex trafficked then when she has the courage to fight back is jailed for life! We have to do better & do what’s right. I’ve called my attorneys yesterday to see what can be done to fix this. #FreeCyntoiaBrown.”

Shawn Holley tells Daily News that Kim reached out to her legal team several weeks ago to come up with a plan to support Cyntoia’s campaign.

“Kim asked me several weeks ago how she could help Alice Johnson in her fight for justice. We then began corresponding with Alice and her team of lawyers. Since then, Kim has championed the cause of Cyntoia Brown and asked me to help her get involved in that effort as well,” Holley said.

Since then, more celebrities have come out to support Cyntoia’s case including model , Cara Delevingne who tweeted:

“The justice system is so backwards!!! This is completely insane #freecyntoiabrown.”

Brown, who is now in her 20s, was sentenced to 51 years to life for first-degree murder and prostitution at the Tennessee Prison for Women.
