Kim Kardashian On Her Way To Memphis To Meet Alice Marie Johnson
It’s happening! Kim Kardashian is en route to meet with Alice Marie Johnson, the great-grandmother whose life sentence was just commuted by President Donald Trump, all thanks to the reality star.
Sources say Kim and her attorney, Shawn Holley, are currently on a private plane from L.A. to Memphis. It will definitely be an emotional day for both Kim and Alice who never thought she would be freed from jail so soon.
“Ms. Johnson has accepted responsibility for her past behavior and has been a model prisoner over the past two decades,” the White House said in a statement. “Despite receiving a life sentence, Alice worked hard to rehabilitate herself in prison, and act as a mentor to her fellow inmates.”
Johnson was convicted in 1996 of conspiracy to possess cocaine and attempted possession of cocaine and spent a third of her life in prison.
After she was released last week, she shared with reporters that she wanted to hug and kiss Kim for helping out. It looks like she will be able to do just that in a few hours.
