Mel B Under Criminal Investigation For Allegedly Threatening Rapper Siya In Divorce Case

The plot continues to thicken in the messy divorce battle between Mel B and her estranged ex-husband Stephen Belafonte.

According to a new police report filed by rapper Siya of  “Sisterhood of Hip Hop,” Mel B sent the musician a number of threatening texts in an attempt to prevent her from testifying in defense of Belafonte in their divorce war.

TMZ reports that Mel B has been accused of intimidating a witness, and police have now opened a felony investigation on the former Spice Girl.

Siya claims that Mel B sent her texts last Saturday that threatened her to not testify against her. Police sources say Siya had receipts and showed law enforcement the violent text messages Mel B allegedly sent. Since then, a felony witness intimidation case was opened on Mel B.

Prior to receiving the text messages, Siya was prepared to contradict Mel B’s claims against her ex-husband and testify that Belafonte was never physically abusive towards his wife. Siya claims that she was close friends with both Mel B and Belafonte, and has inside information on many of the allegations the two are throwing at each other.

Sources connected with Mel B dispute Siya’s claims, saying “The Voice” host only met Siya a few times.

However, according to Siya, Mel B frequently used illegal drugs and was the one in control of the alleged threesome the married couple had with their nanny, Lorraine Gilles.
