Miley Cyrus took a break from her wild child ways on Instagram to drop some knowledge in the latest issue of Marie Claire! In the issue she’s unapologetic as she speaks on her public perception and her pledge to just be herself. The 22 year old host and 2015 host of the upcoming MTV Music Awards makes it clear that money isn’t everything. “I’ve experienced it all already, and I’m telling you firsthand, it doesn’t. People in this industry think, I just gotta keep getting more money, and I’m like, ‘What are you getting more money for?’ You probably couldn’t even spend it all in this lifetime. People get more famous, so that they can make their brand more famous, so that they can sell more s—, so that they can make more money. It’s a never-ending cycle.” Cyrus believes in a life of simplicity stating that she has no desire for the over the top houses and music studios and rather invest in the things that are important to her like her Happy Hippie Foundation. She sets the record straight on the issue of sexism in the music industry. “There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it. Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he’s cool. I do it and I’m a druggie whore.” As for her sexuality which has been the topic of recent headlines she says “Lately, I’ve been talking a lot about my being gender-fluid and gender-neutral. And some people snarl at that. They want to judge me. People need more conventional role models, I guess. But I just don’t care to be that person.”
As for Taylor Swift’s ‘Bad Blood’ music video– Miley doesn’t hold back at all!- “I don’t get the violence revenge thing. That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my titties out? I’m not sure how titties are worse than guns.”
