Popular makeup brand Anastasia Beverly Hills is short about 100,000 eyeshadow palettes after theifs snatched $4.5 million worth of product.
Apparently, the group of thieves cut through the roof of their warehouse in Chatsworth, California, grabbing the pallets that go for $42 each.
Police told CBS they could turn up in a number of different places, like online or at swap meets, sold alongside the counterfeits that are out there.
The LAPD are still searching for suspects, as according to investigators, the surveillance video footage is too grainy to identify them.
High-end makeup products like the Anastasia line, Kylie Jenner’s lip kit line, MAC, Dior, and so many others have counterfeit products that are being sold to makeup loving customers who don’t always want to spend the high end money.
Buying counterfeit products can not only be bad for your skin, but it is also bad for the brand, and in cases like this, it’s stealing.
Police have asked anyone with information on the heist to call LAPD detectives Marc Zavala at 818-832-7510, Jeannette Santos at 818-832-7511, or 1-877-LAPD-24-7.
