The devastating Category five hurricane is making her way to Northern Cuba as Floridians are urged to evacuate immediately.
CBS News reports more 5 million people are told to evacuate in order to escape Irma’s path. Forecasters predict the hurricane will arrive to the Florida Keys on Sunday. The hurricane’s winds are very wide that it can reach coast to coast.National Hurricane Center meteorologist Dennis Feltgen warns not to underestimate this storm:
“This is a storm that will kill you if you don’t get out of the way,everybody’s going to feel this one.”

Hurricane Irma has destroyed the island of Barbuda, where 1,600 people inhabited but are now left homeless. 20 deaths have been reported since the hurricane’s arrival in the Caribbean. Many islanders have prepared to evacuate in the wake of Hurricane Jose.
There are reports of gas shortage and gridlock as thousands prepare for the dangerous storm. Interstate 95 was packed with bumper to bumper traffic. Emergency responders will evacuate the Florida Keys on Saturday morning. Florida public schools are also closed in order to provide shelter for evacuees.
