More On Anthony Bourdain’s Death: Celebrity Chef Hanged Himself With Bathroom Robe Belt
Just a day after CNN host and celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain tragically died, it’s been revealed that he took his life by hanging himself with a belt from his hotel bathrobe.
Prosecutor Christian de Rocquigny confirmed that information to the Associated Press on Saturday. Rocquigny said,
“there is no element that makes us suspect that someone came into the room at any moment.” He also said a medical expert had concluded there were no signs of injuries that indicated foul play.
The prosecutor also said toxicology tests were being carried out including urine tests, which will determine if Bourdain took any medications or not. It will also try to help his family understand if anything led him to kill himself.
Bourdain is survived by 11-year-old daughter Ariane Bourdain. He was 61.
His suicide comes just a few days after the suicide of fashion designer Kate Spade. She hung herself with a scarf in her New York apartment.
