An Indonesian teen was stabbed in the neck by a needlefish while fishing in the city of Baubau.

According to Metro UK, Muhammad Idul,16, was stabbed by a needlefish after it jumped out of the water and pushed its long, pointy jaws into his neck. Idul was knocked off of his boat when the freak accident occurred and transported to a local hospital. However, the hospital’s medical staff refused to perform the surgery because it required specialist equipment. He was transferred to another hospital in Makassar where surgeons performed the operation and removed the fish within one hour.
