Fashion these days seems to have taken a major left turn in trying to be trendy.
We recently called out retailer Topshop for possibly taking a major “L” with their plastic pants.
But today, we are calling Opening Ceremony who teamed up with the Y/Project to take jeans back to the 90s.
Let’s flash back to elementary school and middle school when our parents made us wear those pants that doubled as shorts.
Same with those moms who had their daughters wear the skirts that went from long to short with a simple zipper.
That’s exactly what these new jeans are doing!
Crazy that this year the saying fashion always repeats it self has really be true.
The company is calling these the “2-in-1 Y/Project trousers [which] come in a straight-leg silhouette with slim-fitting, detachable shorts that feature high-rise cutouts along the front.”
High rise is a understatement for these pants. If you have ever herd the term under butt that’s exactly what will be showing in these.
Coming in two colors, acid wash and black, these pants will not be as cheep as they were back in the day.
Ordering a pair of these pants will cost you a whopping $425.
Now if that look isn’t for you, don’t worry the collaboration produced another option.
While these will run you more, to be exact $505, this look may be more convincing.
We have seen Rihanna is something similar to this, but the Y/project released what they call garters straps jeans.
