After staying silent for months on the subject, Kim Kardashian-West finally recounts her side of the frightening story of how she survived an armed robbery in Paris on tonight’s episode of Keeping up With the Kardashians.
Kardashian-West was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room on October 3rd of last year. On tonight’s episode, she tells the full story to her sisters Khloe and Kourtney. Kim shared all of the thoughts that went through her mind at the time, including her worst fears during the experience.
Of the multiple armed men who physically restrained and gagged her, Kim says:
“Then [one man] duct tapes my face, my mouth, to get me to not yell or anything and then he grabs my legs and I wasn’t, I had no clothes on under [my robe] and he pulled me towards him at the front of the bed and I thought, ‘okay, this is the moment. They are going to rape me… And I fully mentally prepped myself and then he didn’t and he duct taped my legs together.”
Along with the fear of being raped, Kim also proceeds to say that she really was convinced that she was going to die.
“I just prayed that Kourtney’s going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed,” Kim said. The last thought she could remember having as one of the robbers pointed his gun at her was: “I have a family. I have my kids, my husband, my mom — I’m not going to make it out of here. I know how these things go.”
Thankfully, Kim was not shot, and was instead placed in the bathtub of the hotel room, where she was ultimately found. Reportedly, the robbers ended up with $10 million worth in jewelry. Following the incident, Kardashian and her sister and mother immediately left Paris to reunite with her husband, Kanye West, and children back in New York.
