Sneaker heads everywhere are rejoicing because Riccardo Tisci has announced that he’s gearing up for a round 2 collaboration with Nike! If you can recall back in 2014 he worked with NikeLab for a signature remake of the classic Air Force 1 sneaker. The redesign sold in a signature 2 signature colorways and was available in low top, mid high, and boot silhouettes.
The first Nike x Tisci collab was a such a huge success and made such a statement in the fashion world that it was only right they did it again! This time Tisci is re-imaging the classic Nike Dunk Lux High with an over-sized boot silhouette and enlarged swoosh.
Here is what Tisci told Vogue about the phase 2 collabo- ” I like collaborating with Nike because it takes me to another place, which is different from my reality every day,” Nike is an American company and very well perceived. The opportunity makes a big statement. I think it’s a dream of any designer’s to be in everybody’s home. The first pair of Dunks I had were white and red. I’ve been representing the brand for 25 years. I believe in the roots of the company, and always have.”
The sneaker itself is set to retail at $300 and features a lunarlon sole and leather upper.
