Gigi Hadid Drops Out of 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
It looks like we’ll be missing one angel for the upcoming 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show. Gigi Hadid has just revealed that she won’t be going to China for the annual show, taking place in Shanghai on Monday, November 20.
The supermodel was expected to walk the runway for the third time, but she just announced on Twitter that she wouldn’t be able to attend, just a few days before the show.
“I’m so bummed I won’t be able to make it to China this year,” she wrote on Thursday, November 16. “Love my VS family, and will be with all my girls in spirit!! Can’t wait to tune in with everyone to see the beautiful show I know it will be, and already can’t wait for next year!”
Forever and ever and ever a dream come true to be asked back to the VS Show !!! 🙌🏼 Thank you my friends @ed_razek @10magazine @johndavidpfeiffer @monica.mitro for another unforgettable opportunity; every aspect makes me feel like a dreaming kid again 🕊🕊🖤 (as shown here at last year's fitting, by @jeromeduran)! ☁️ @victoriassecret #VSFS2017
While the reason behind her dropping out is unclear, many people actually believe that Gigi didn’t have her Visa approved by the Chinese government after she faced some backlash earlier this year for seemingly mocking Asians.
Despite that, her little sister Bella Hadid will be walking in The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show which will air on Nov. 28 at 10 p.m. on CBS!
