See What Nicki Minaj Has to Say About Designer Giuseppe Zanotti

It’s not just Miley Cyrus that has Nicki Minaj asking what’s good, there’s a new target on her list.

Earlier this morning, Minaj was all Twitter fingers, as she called out designer Giuseppe Zanotti for “Racism and Disrespect,” creating the hashtag #GiuseppeWhatsGood.

Back in 2011, the Super Bass singer rocked a pair of Giuseppe Zanotti sneakers inspired by, well, herself.

But today, in a series of long tweets, Nicki talks about her frustration with the designer after he refused her call for the creation of her own capsule line after he was willing to give other artists their own collections.

Minaj later took to Instagram, showing a picture of what looks to be a shoe inspired by her. The name of the shoe is the Nicki. Her picture had the caption, “Dear @giuseppezanottidesign #RunMeMyCHECK your PR must’ve fell & bumped their head when they told my agency they weren’t discussing anything with us. I’m giving you 24 hours. ? #GiuseppeWhatsGood 23 pairs of sneakers in my collection & they won’t take a call?”

Nicki’s frustration with the brand is real, as she continues to tweet, letting her fans know that it’s not about the money, she just wants to be respected.

She later goes and adds in a joke adding herself on to the already long bill of fighters for the Soulja Boy and Chris Brown fight saying

According to the Fashion Law, Nicki could potentially take legal action for this shoe name.  “Trademark claims could be made if Minaj can successfully assert trademark rights in her first name.”

If she did decide to file an infringement claim, proof would have to be presented showing that consumers were “likely to be confused” about any collaboration or capsule lines that she did with Giuseppe.
