South Carolina man turned a gun on himself after his two-year-old son accidentally shot himself in the head.
Deputies say, Two-year -old, Kyree Myers found a loaded gun at his home and accidentally shot himself in the head. According to the The State newspaper, the toddler’s mother contacted 911. As deputies arrived to the home, police say 38-year-old Keon Myers threatening to kill himself.
Despite the deputies attempts in demanding him to drop his weapon, Myers shot himself in the head. Both father and son were taken to a nearby hospital where they were both pronounced dead.

Police Chief Skip Holbrook said:
“Not only is emotional support being provided to the family of the victims but also to the responding officers who will be debriefed about the events and provided whatever additional support is needed.”
Holbrook also noted that police are still investigating if the gun Keon Myers used was the same gun the toddler used. Moreover, the deputies are also hoping to uncover the guns owner as well as if the gun was bought legally.
