A judge just made the ruling in the case, awarding Brad and Angelina 50/50 joint legal and physical custody of 5 of their 6 children. Maddox is 19 and not subject to the ruling.
As we previously reported, Angelina had been fighting for sole custody and only wanted Brad to have supervised visitation. After hearing Brad’s arguments, it was determined that “[Jolie’s] testimony lacked credibility in many important areas, and the existing custody order between the parties must be modified, per Mr. Pitt’s request, in the best interests of the children,” court documents obtained by Us stated.
Angelina filed for divorce in 2016. During their time, it was shared that Brad allegedly got into a physical confrontation on a private jet with one of their kids. TMZ notes that he was estranged from all the kids at that time and ultimately got supervised visitation. However, things will be different now following his big legal victory per the New York Post.
It was noted that the ruling is “tentative.” But, as TMZ notes, typically tentative rulings are just a formality before they become final. A source connected to Brad tells the news site that “he’s over the moon.”
