This Tuesday, Buckingham Palace released a statement on behalf of Queen Elizabeth following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.”
The statement concluded with,
“Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
During the Sunday night interview, Meghan and Harry revealed that there had been “concerns and conversations” within the royal family about how dark her son Archie’s skin would be. While speaking on the topic of race, the pair also accused the royal family of not doing more to defend Meghan amid racist attacks from the press, and that the pressure and lack of support resulted in her experiencing suicidal thoughts while she was pregnant.

While appearing on “Good Morning Britain,” Thomas Markle Sr. defended the UK royal family over claims of racism toward Meghan Markle. He said, “I don’t think the royal family are racist at all. I don’t think the British are racist,” but added: “Los Angeles is racist. California is racist.”
He also weighed in on one of the biggest revelations from the sit-down: The Royal family’s “concerns and conversations” about how dark her child’s skin would be while she was pregnant with Archie. Thomas said, “I’m guessing and hoping it’s just a dumb question from somebody — it could just be that simple. It could be somebody asked a stupid question rather than being a total racist,” he told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on Tuesday morning.
He later added: “It could have been just the stupid question from someone, someone who doesn’t understand that, a Black person marries a white person, what you get, you get a baby, that’s what you got. You got a baby. Maybe we’re getting a little too political,” he said.

Here’s some great news to mark Women’s History Month! Cardi B’s top-charting breakout single “Bodak Yellow” officially became certified diamond by the RIAA, making her the first female rapper ever to achieve achieve the prestigious milestone!

Kanye West’s Ex-Bodyguard Is Working On An ‘Explosive’ Documentary About Him
#Socialites, get into this! Another documentary about a big-name celebrity is currently in the works and according to Page Six, it’s going to be “explosive.”
Steve Stanulis, former NYPD officer and ex-bodyguard to Kanye West says two Hollywood streaming services are racing to create documentaries on the entertainer. “Two studios approached me,” Stanulis said of the potential projects that want to begin shooting as soon as next month. “They see this as a ’48 Hours’ for real, or a ‘Lethal Weapon’ for real,” he said, adding “It comes from my mouth.”
Stanulis, who worked with West in 2016, will detail some of the star’s wild incidents, including a behind-the-scenes meltdown on the set of “Saturday Night Live.” He also alleged that West once tipsily wandered into the wrong hotel room of an Italian dignitary at the Waldorf, nearly setting off a brawl. “Every day was a new adventure,” Stanulis explained. “There are a ton of stories I haven’t told,” he told Page Six.
“I was one of his favorite guys,” Stanulis says of working for West — at first. But that changed… quickly. In 2016, Stanulis slammed West in an interview with a UK newspaper. The rapper then threatened him with a $30 million suit, claiming Stanulis had signed a confidentiality agreement. However, for years Stanulis has denied he ever did.
Last year Stanulis revealed on the “Hollywood Raw” podcast that West was the “neediest, moodiest and worst tipper” of any star he’d worked for. Ye and estranged wife Kim Kardashian then threatened to sue for $10M, calling his comments “false and defamatory” statements. Stanulis’ legal team threated to countersue the couple, replying at the time, “any efforts undertaken by your clients to enforce any purported ‘confidentiality agreement’ will be met with counterclaims, that will seek significant damages,” Page Six reports.
While sharing more details about the new proposed documentary project, Stanulis told Page Six: “It starts off with $30 million lawsuit, and works backward, with all the craziness. Why not address the elephant in the room?” referring to the threatened lawsuits, “They threatened to sue me two separate times — once back in the day, and then on a podcast this year. It went viral, and they threatened to sue me again for $10 million, and my attorney countered and it just went away.”
Stanulis who is a director and producer of films including “5th Borough” and “Chronicle of a Serial Killer” said of the West project, “They came to me. I like the fact that I’m not … the director, the producer … the whole thing is going to be 1 hour and 20 minutes in a fun, chronological order.” He told the outlet that with the film there will be, “Nothing left to be said. I’m saying it all.”

On Sunday, former Real Housewives of New York City star and podcast host, Bethenny Frankel took to social media to share her feelings about Meghan Markle ahead of her big sit-down interview with husband Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey. Before it aired, the 50-year-old criticized Markle for complaining about her life as a royal and explained why she had no sympathy for her.
“Cry me a river… the plight of being a game show host, fairly unknown actress, to suffering in a palace, with tiaras and 7-figure weddings for TWO WHOLE YEARS to being a household name w @Oprah on speed dial, fetching 7m for interviews, hundreds of millions in media deals,” tweeted Frankel, referring to Markle’s past appearances on the game show Deal or No Deal and her lavish 2018 royal wedding. She went on to say, “I 100% give Harry a break. This isn’t the way to generate less press & cannot be filed under the guise of wanting privacy to prevent a repeat of previous events,” said Frankel, who defended her right to share her personal opinion by adding, “If you hate me for saying it here don’t listen to my podcast… it’s littered with my opinion.”

Bruno Mars Responds To Critics Accusing Him Of Cultural Appropriation: “This Music Comes From Love”
While appearing on “The Breakfast Club” to promote his new single “Leave the Door Open” with Anderson Paak along with their newly-formed band called Silk Sonic, Bruno Mars addressed claims that he was appropriating Black culture.
During the interview, host Charlamagne the God asked Bruno, “People love to accuse you of being a cultural thief, which I find interesting because you are a person of color. What would you say to those people?” In response, Mars, who has a mixed racial background that includes Ashkenazi Jew, Puerto Rican and Filipino, explained that he does draw inspiration from Black legends like Prince and James Brown:
“I’ll say, you can’t find an interview where I’m not talking about the entertainers who have come before me. The only reason why I’m here is because of James Brown, Prince, Michael [Jackson], that’s the only reason why I’m here. I’m growing up as a kid watching Bobbie Brown saying, ‘Okay, if that’s what it takes to make it, then I gotta learn how to do the running man, I gotta learn how to do the moonwalk.’ That’s it. This music comes from love. If you can’t hear that, then I don’t know what to tell you.”
He added,
“It’s the truth, it’s not a secret. Like I said, we’re wearing the inspiration on our sleeve. What is the point if us as musicians if we can’t learn from the guys that come before us? I hope later on, down the road, there’s going to be a band that’s taking what we did and flipping that, and freaking that, and putting their own spin on it. Because if we don’t, then what was the point of us doing this?”
Charlamagne then asked Mars if he was ever “pissed off” by these claims to which Mars admitted that it didn’t faze him at all. Rather, he understands that Black creators are oftentimes not given the credit they deserve.
“There’s merit to what people are saying about Black entertainers not getting their flowers,” he said. “I’m champion of that, I’m with that. […] I understand. It’s just Twitter, man.”
As NBC news reports, the legislation includes $1,400 stimulus checks, $300-per-week jobless benefits through summer, a child allowance of up to $3,600 for one year, $350 billion for state aid, $34 billion to expand Affordable Care Act subsidies and $14 billion for vaccine distribution.
The final vote was 50-49 along party lines, with every Republican voting “no.” The legislation will now have to be passed again by the House after the Senate made changes to its version, which Democrats approved along party lines last Saturday. If it is approved by the House, it will then go to Mr. Biden’s desk for his signature.
The legislation would be the first big victory for Biden, who previously campaigned on bringing Covid-19 under control and reviving a shattered economy.

On Friday, Kim Kardashian took to social media to share that she has watched the documentary Framing Britney Spears and can empathize with her. The doc tackles the controversy surrounding the pop star’s conservatorship and the #FreeBritney movement.
In a series of IG stories, the TV star also opened up about the ‘traumatizing’ pressures of being in the public eye. “So I finally watched the Britney Spears documentary this week and it made me feel a lot of empathy for her,” Kim wrote. “The way the media played a big role in her life the way it did can be very traumatizing and it can really break even the strongest person. She added: “No matter how public someone’s life may seem, no one deserves to be treated with such cruelty or judgment for entertainment. “Looking back at my own experiences, I remember a time when I felt this way.”
Kim then recalled the time when she was pregnant with her first daughter North. “When I was pregnant with North I was suffering from preeclampsia, which made me swell uncontrollably. I gained 60 lbs and delivers almost 6 weeks early and I cried every single day over what was happening to my body mainly from the pressures of being constantly compared to what society considered a healthy pregnant person should look like – as well as being compared to Shamu the Whale by the media.”
“I was shamed on a weekly basis with cover stories that made my insecurities so painful I couldn’t leave the house for months after. It really broke me. She went on: “Luckily I was able to take these frustrating, embarrassing feelings and channel it into motivation to get me where I am today, but to say this didn’t take a toll on me mentally would be a lie.
Before concluding she said,
“I’m sharing this just to say I really hope everyone involved in the business of shaming and bullying someone to the point of breaking them down might reconsider and instead try to show some understand and compassion.
“You just never fully know what someone is going through behind the scenes and I’ve learned through my own experiences that it’s always better to lead with kindness,” Kim concluded.
UPDATE: Tessica Brown’s Manager Says Lumps Found In Breasts Are Not Cancerous
Tessica Brown’s manager has some good news to share with her supporters. While speaking with TMZ, Gina Rodriguez said the masses that were recently found in Tessica’s breasts are not cancerous.
Doctors say the benign cysts that were found are the result of fibrocystic breast disease, which generally makes it more difficult to detect potentially cancerous lumps, Gina explained. As a result, Brown will have to get a mammogram every six months, TMZ reports.
Dr. Michael Obeng, the Beverly Hills plastic surgeon who successfully removed the gorilla glue from her hair, had found evidence of the lumps in her breasts when she came back to him for a pre-surgery consultation for a mommy makeover. Dr. Obeng was able to remove the cysts during Tessica’s other procedures and sent them to the lab for testing. Tessica remained positive as she awaited the results and said she was thankful that the Gorilla Glue ordeal brought her to Dr. Obeng.
Gina Rodriguez tells TMZ that Tessica is ecstatic that her results came back negative, and is looking forward to enjoying her life.
Michael Brown’s Father And Ferguson Activists Request $20M From BLM To Help Their Community
The father of Michael Brown and other activists from Ferguson, Missouri, are demanding financial support from Black Lives Matter after the organization revealed it raised over $90 million in 2020.
“Where is all that money going?” Brown Sr. asked in a Tuesday press release from the International Black Freedom Alliance. “How could you leave the families who are helping the community without any funding?”
As many are aware, the tragic 2014 police shooting of his son, Michael Brown, sparked months of unrest in Ferguson but it also helped solidify the national Black Lives Matter movement. Now, Brown Sr. along with the other activists who helped propel the movement, wants $20 million from the group and it will be used to help their community. “We’re not asking for a handout, but for the funding to keep the movement strong where it began,” said Tory Russell, a Ferguson activist and co-founder of the International Black Freedom Alliance.
The press release said the funds in Ferguson would be used in part to build a community center in honor of Michael Brown.
The 69-year-old spoke with Leah A. Henry for her show “Leah’s Lemonade,” and became pretty bothered when Leah talked about people comparing his famous daughter Beyoncé to the talented Chloe Bailey.
Chloe and her sister Halle Bailey who form the group “Chloe X Halle,” are signed to Beyonce’s management company, Parkwood Entertainment. The host explained that people “constantly” compare Chloe to Beyonce and even call her a “younger” version of the Grammy Winner. Let’s just say, Mr. Knowles was NOT here for the comparison… at all.
“Are you actually serious that you are comparing that young lady to Beyonce?” When Henry specified that the question was aimed at Chloe playing Beyonce in a potential biopic, Knowles said, “Okay, if you’re talking about a movie — not talent-wise. Talent-wise? Are you telling me talent-wise, somebody is an idiot enough to compare her to Beyonce, talent-wise? Are there people saying her talent is equal to Beyonce? They’re idiots. Period,” he continued, adding, “That’s actually insulting to Beyonce.”
Clearly things were going left and Mathew decided to opt out of the topic. He told the host, “I want to get off this topic I don’t even want to talk about it.” He added, “What’s turned into a wonderful interview, is now ending up on some bullsh*t.”

Reporter Laurie Segall asked the man, whose real name is Jacob Chansley if he regretted his loyalty to Trump. He admitted he was “wounded” that former President Trump did not offer to help him.
“I developed a lot of sympathy for Donald Trump because it seemed like the media was picking on him and seemed like the establishment was going after him unnecessarily or unfairly, and I had been a victim of that all of my life, whether it be in school or at home. So in many ways, I identify with a lot of the negative things that he was going through,” Chansley said.
“I honestly believed and still believe that he cares about the Constitution, that he cares about the American people, and that’s also why and you know it wounded me so deeply and why it disappointed me so greatly that I and others did not get a pardon,” Chansley added.
Before Trump’s term ended, he issued several pardons to his supporters such as former White House strategist Stephen Bannon, though he did not issue any to the alleged Capitol rioters.
Chansley was arrested less than a week after the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol breach. He has been charged with knowingly entering a restricted building without lawful authority and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Chansley reportedly stopped eating after being put in prison, refusing to eat any food that wasn’t organic. He faces up to 20 years behind bars.
Meghan Markle Calls Royal Family ‘The Firm’ And Accuses Them Of ‘Perpetuating Falsehoods ’In Oprah Winfrey Interview Promo
CBS has released a new clip of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s highly anticipated sit-down with Oprah Winfrey, where she accuses the royal family of “perpetuating falsehoods” about her and Prince Harry.
In the teaser, the Duchess of Sussex was asked how she felt Buckingham Palace would respond to hearing her “speak her truth today.” She replied, “I don’t know how they could expect that, after all of this time, we would still just be silent if there is an active role that The Firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.” Markle says, using a nickname for the royals purportedly originated by King George VI, Page Six notes.
“And if that comes with risk of losing things,” she adds, “there’s a lot that’s been lost already.” The 30-second promo clip was released after Buckingham Palace announced on Wednesday that it will launch an investigation into allegations of bullying made against Meghan by former members of staff.
Meghan’s spokesperson responded to the claims, calling it a “smear campaign” that has upset the Duchess in particular because she has been “the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma.”
Court Rules Sofia Vergara‘s Ex-Fiancé Can’t Use Her Embryos Without Her Consent
The battle for Sofía Vergara and Nick Loeb’s embryos seem to be over. On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Superior Court ruled that Loeb, will not be able to use the frozen embryos they created together without the actress’ consent.
During their relationship, Sofia and Nick decided to freeze embryos in case they wanted to have children. The contract they signed states both parties must agree before the embryos can be brought to life. However, the two broke up in 2014 without ever having used the embryos.
In his lawsuits, he argued that he wanted to bring the embryos to life without Sofia’s consent and explained that he didn’t like the idea of his children sitting there without being brought to life. The judge found that Loeb actually breached a contract between the former couple when he set up a trust for the embryos under Louisiana law, and sued for custody there on the embryos’ behalf. Despite his efforts, Vergara was granted a permanent injunction, ruling that the contract they signed with a Beverly Hills fertility clinic in 2013 is still valid. A judge permanently blocked Nick Loeb from using them with a surrogate.
Now, if he wants to move forward, he would have to get Sofia’s consent for anything having to do with the embryos.
Sofia’s currently married to Joe Manganiello and only has one child to date from a previous relationship.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo Says He’s “Embarrassed” By Sexual Harassment Allegations But Will Not Resign
This Wednesday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo made his first public remarks since his big sexual harassment scandal. He said he was “embarrassed” by his actions and apologized, but said that he would not resign from office.
“I now understand I acted in a way that made people uncomfortable,” Cuomo said, referring to allegations he forced a kiss a state employee, made sexual comments to her and another state employee, putting his hands on the face of a woman at a social event, asking if he could kiss her. “I feel awful about it and frankly I am embarrassed by it. That’s not easy to say, but it’s the truth,” Cuomo said at the state capitol.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday that if the allegations against the governor are true, “he can not govern.”
Cuomo made it clear on Wednesday that he has no plans to go anywhere. “I’m not going to resign,” he said.
Meanwhile, Debra Katz, an attorney for Cuomo accuser Charlotte Bennett, released a statement blasting the press conference:
“The Governor’s press conference was full of falsehoods and inaccurate information, and New Yorkers deserve better,” Katz said.
According to Deadline, Soundtrack creator Joshua Safran confirmed the news Tuesday on Twitter. “I can confirm my good friend, co-worker, and all-around inspiration, Jahmil French, passed away yesterday,” Safran wrote. “Only posting because I see the story getting out there. I will have more to say about him later. Right now we’re all just processing this devastating news.”
In addition to Degrassi and Netflix’s “Soundtrack,” French also appeared in Pop TV series Let’s Get Physical and the 2017 film Boost, for which he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. As of right now, no additional details about French’s death are available. He was just 29 years old.
Singer and actor Christina Milian, who also starred in Safran’s Soundtrack, commented on French’s most recent Instagram post from January, writing “You will be missed. 😢 Rest peacefully King. Annie Clark, who played Fiona on Degrassi also reacted to the sad news saying,
“Heartbroken over the loss of our friend Jahmil French,” wrote Annie Clark, who played Fiona on Degrassi, alongside a video of French dancing. “This video is how I’ll always think of him. So full of energy and fun. He was always dancing. A true talent and a great friend. We will all miss you so much Jahmil.”
T.I. Won’t Return for ‘Ant-Man 3’ Amid Accusations of Sexual Misconduct
According to the Hollywood Reporter, T.I. will not be returning for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
T.I., real name Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., previously played a supporting role in the past two films. The reason for T.I.’s apparent absence from Ant-Man 3 is unconfirmed at this time. However, insiders close to the project said T.I. was never slated to return, despite the implication that the heavy allegations against him had to do with the decision.
As we previously reported, T.I. and his wife, Tiny Harris, are currently facing accusations of sexual abuse from several women, as well as other allegations of “forced ingestion of illegal narcotics, kidnapping, false imprisonment, intimidation, assault and harassment.” The famous couple has both strongly denied these claims, calling the allegations “unsubstantiated and baseless.”
This news also comes just shortly after it was also announced that a woman named Sabrina Peterson filed a suit against T.I. and Tiny for defamation.
As many can recall, the rapper had major protection around him back in late 2018 just shortly before he was locked up, but never paid them, according to docs. The news site reports that Metropolitan Patrol filed the suit, claiming Tekashi signed a contract with them in which they agreed to provide round-the-clock armed security. MP also claims they also provided him armored vehicles.
Metropolitan says when they completed the job, Tekashi’s tab came to a little over $75k for the job. However, when it was time for him to pay up, they claim he simply refused to fork over the money. Not only do they want what they say they’re owed on the contract but also late fees and legal fees that have added up. In total, they’re Tekashi to cough up $88k for allegedly leaving them hanging.
Meanwhile, 6ix9ine’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, tells TMZ that Tekashi’s booking agency at the time, MTA Bookings, is responsible for covering the big tab. He says Tekashi has absolutely nothing to do with it, and owes nothing. He labeled this lawsuit “meritless.”
The news of his passing was announced by his family. His daughter, Vickee Jordan, said he “passed away peacefully last evening surrounded by loved ones. We appreciate all of the outpouring of love and affection,” she said in a statement. A cause of death was not immediately released. Jordan was 85 years old.
“From civil rights to business, Mr. Jordan demonstrated the highest quality of leadership and created a path forward for African-Americans where there were none,” said Jaime Harrison, chairman of the Democratic National Committee. “He will be missed.”
Jordan, who grew up in the segregated south, rose to prominence as a civil rights activist. He studies law at Howard University, and also fought against segregation with a lawsuit against the University of Georgia in 1961.
Jordan even worked as a NAACP field worker and director of the Southern Regional Council for the Voter Education Project. Later, he served as president of the National Urban League. During his career, he worked closely on civil rights issues with presidents from Lyndon Johnson in the 1960’s to Barack Obama during the past decade. He also worked as an outside adviser during the Clinton administration.
The company that publishes Dr. Seuss’ children’s books, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, said it made the decision after consulting educators and reviewing its catalog. “Ceasing sales of these books is only part of our commitment and our broader plan to ensure Dr. Seuss Enterprises’s catalog represents and supports all communities and families,” it said.
The titles of the books that “portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong,” are titled, “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street, “If I Ran the Zoo, “McElligot’s Pool, “On Beyond Zebra!, “Scrambled Eggs Super!,” and “The Cat’s Quizzer.” The big announcement was made Tuesday, the birthday of the famed children’s book author.
Multiple Dr. Seuss works have long been criticized for their depictions of minorities. Back in January, Loudoun County schools in Virginia had to debunk speculation that they were banning Dr. Seuss entirely but stated that “Dr. Seuss and his books are no longer the emphasis of Read Across America Day in Loudoun County Public Schools,” citing research that “revealed strong racial undertones in many books.”
On Monday, Sabrina Peterson sued the couple along with their good friend and hairstylist Shekinah Jones for defamation, according to The Hollywood Reporter and TMZ. As we previously reported, Peterson alleged that T.I. pulled a gun on her and threatened to kill her after she got into an altercation with his assistant. She posted about it on social media back in January and she alleges she was defamed by their responses to it! Tiny did respond to her claims in an Instagram post which included a photo of Peterson’s 8-year-old son to her millions of followers, and also asked Peterson that she should stop harassing her family and get help. Peterson says this exposed her son to “vitriol and danger.”
While defending Tiny, Shekinah posted an Instagram video that said that they were all good friends at one point and that Peterson had also been sexually involved with both T.I. and Tiny. The couple later issued a joint statement denying many claims including the serious sexual abuse ones that were also made by Peterson. As a result of all the drama, Peterson is suing the couple and Shekinah for defamation and infliction of emotional distress, the news site reports.
T.I. and Tiny’s attorney, Steve Sadow, has released a statement on this lawsuit. He said they “deny in the strongest possible terms these unsubstantiated and baseless allegations.” Sadow adds “These allegations are nothing more than the continuation of a sordid shakedown campaign that began on social media.” He says the couple “implore everyone not to be taken in by these obvious attempts to manipulate the press and misuse the justice system,” TMZ notes.

Previously, IG users were able to go live with just one other person. Now, Instagram, Instagram wants to give creators even more ways to build a business and earn money. The new feature will not only allow users to buy badges for the hosts but also use other interactive features like Shopping and Live Fundraisers.
“We hope that doubling up on Live will open up more creative opportunities — start a talk show, host a jam session or co-create with other artists, host more engaging Q&As or tutorials with your following, or just hang out with more of your friends. We can’t wait to see what more creativity comes from this highly-requested update.”

In addition to this, Instagram also announced that it is exploring more interactive tools, like moderator controls and new audio features that will be available in the coming months, similar to the new popular app Clubhouse.
In an emotional Instagram post, Ryan Fischer details the moment he was ambushed by two guys and shot. In his post, he also apologized for not being able to protect the superstars’ dogs.
“4 days ago, while a car sped away and blood poured from my gun shot wound, an angel trotted over and laid next to me. My panicked screams calmed as I looked at her, even though it registered that the blood pooling around her tiny body was my own,” the 39-year-old wrote on Instagram, referencing Gaga’s pooch, Miss Asia, who escaped the dognapping, according to the New York Post. “I cradled Asia as best I could, thanked her for all the incredible adventures we’d been on together, apologized that I couldn’t defend her brothers, and then resolved that I would still try to save them… and myself. Hopeful that my calm(ish) and forceful pleas for the urgency of my care as well as the focused descriptions of the dogs would be enough to help me and get enough police and media attention to find the boys, I looked backed at my guardian angel. I smiled at her shaking form, thankful that at least she would be okay.”
As we previously reported, Fischer was shot last Wednesday night just before 10 pm. At the time, he was taking Gaga’s Frenchies, Gustav, Koji and Miss Asia, out for a stroll in West Hollywood. Two men ambushed him and tried to steal the pups. Fischer tried to put up a fight, but ended up getting shot in the chest. The thieves made off with Gustav and Koji.
Thankfully, a woman returned the two dogs. But as of right now, it’s still unclear if she was connected to the dognappers.
Man Crashes Through Hidden Hills Community To Get To Kim Kardashian
More headaches for Kim Kardashian: A man was recently detained in California after he crashed into a gate in a Hidden Hills community to get to the superstar.
According to TMZ, the incident happened around 6:30 PM Wednesday. Law enforcement sources tell the news site that a 24-year-old man breached the main entrance gate in an effort to track down Kim at her Hidden Hills home. Thankfully, security managed to stop the guy before he could get anywhere near her place, and the Sheriff was called.
The man reportedly told law enforcement he was going to see Kim, and even claimed she was his wife! TMZ reports that the Sheriff just cited the guy for trespassing and was later released.
Looks like Kim just can’t catch a break. Aside from this, she’s also dealing with her divorce from Kanye West. A source previously told ET that there is “no drama” between 40-year-old Kim and 43-year-old Kanye, while another source noted that their divorce has been a long time coming:
“Kim filing for divorce from Kanye is just a formal part of the process,” the second source said. “The couple has been done for a while and have been amicable for a while. At the end of the day, Kanye and Kim love each other immensely, but knew it was time to call it quits. Their children are their number one priority and no matter what will maintain a positive relationship for them.”
6ix9ine Sued By Miami Stripper For Champagne Bottle Injuries
More problems for Tekashi 6ix9ine. According to TMZ, a Miami stripper is suing the rapper for aggravated battery over an incident that happened at a nightclub.
The alleged victim, Alexis Salaberrios, filed a lawsuit on Friday over what she claims was a bloody incident inside Gold Rush Cabaret on February 20. She alleges Tekashi threw a “deadly object with intent to commit serious bodily injury.”
Her attorney, David M. Tarlow, told the news site that Tekashi allegedly started a champagne bottle fight and threw one all because someone called him a rat. But the bottle missed his intended target, and Alexis alleges she ended up getting hit; sending her to the ER to get staples to close a head wound. Not only is she suing 6ix9ine but also Gold Rush. She claims they pressured her not to call the police after it all went down. She also ripped them for its lack of security around Tekashi, considering he’s known to have a “propensity for violence.”
She still went ahead and filed a report and is now suing the club for gross negligence and Tekashi for aggravated battery.
Meanwhile, Tekashi’s attorney Lance Lazzaro tells TMZ that his client was not involved in any such incident: “There are video cameras in the establishment. It’s an attempt to shake him down. If he is served properly, we will immediately move to have it dismissed.”
The images of 36-year-old Adam Johnson were plastered online and on TV during and after the insurrection, so it wasn’t particularly hard to find him. He could be seen gleaming and waving at the camera as he headed out the door of the U.S. Capitol.
Adam Johnson was caught Friday night on a federal warrant in Florida, where he lives. Johnson reportedly has a wife and 5 kids and is a stay-at-home dad. There’s currently a nationwide sweep to round up and arrest those who participated in the deadly riots. The FBI now believes this could have been an inside job where people who work in the building provided specific details and instructions for the rioters.
This comes shortly after the arrest of Richard Barnett, the man who allegedly broke into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office, posed for pictures and stole mail from her desk. He was arrested Friday morning in Little Rock, Arkansas, and has been charged with three federal counts.
Nancy Pelosi Says Democrats Will Move To Impeach Trump If He Does Not “Willingly” Resign
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California said Friday that the House would move to impeach President Donald Trump over his role in inciting a violent mob attack on the Capitol if he does not resign “immediately.”
The effort to impeach President Donald Trump for a second time in a little more than a year gained momentum on Friday as a growing number of Democrats in Congress shared their support for the move. In a letter to her Democratic colleagues, Pelosi suggested that she would move forward with impeachment proceedings if the president doesn’t resign or if Vice President Pence and a majority of the Trump cabinet declined to remove him from power using the 25th Amendment to the Constitution.
“Following the President’s dangerous and seditious acts, Republicans in Congress need to … call on Trump to depart his office – immediately,” she wrote. “If the President does not leave office imminently and willingly, the Congress will proceed with our action.” The House of Representatives is already set to introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump as early as Monday, source says. That could set up a vote in the House early to the middle of next week. This would be the second time the House has unveiled articles of impeachment against President Trump.
In December 2019, the House impeached Trump on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. But the Senate acquitted him on both charges last February.
Tracy Chapman Wins $450K In Copyright Suit Against Rapper Nicki Minaj
Back in 2018, Tracy Chapman sued rapper Nicki Minaj over her song titled, “Sorry.” Chapman alleged that Minaj asked for permission to sample her song, but went ahead with it anyway when Chapman rejected the request.
Chapman, 56, and Minaj were set to go to trial over Chapman’s claims later this year, but Minaj made an offer to avoid that from happening, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The news site also notes that the 38-year-old rap star agreed to pay Tracy Chapman $450,000 in addition to Chapman’s legal fees after she was sued for copyright infringement in regards to Chapman’s song, “Baby Can I Hold You.”
Per federal court documents obtained by Page Six on Friday, Chapman acknowledged the offer on December 30 and her acceptance was entered into the court system on Thursday.
To note, Minaj didn’t release the track in question on her album, “Queen,” but she did allegedly leak it to DJ Funkmaster Flex, which led to its circulation online.

Trump Reportedly Considering Presidential Pardons For Lil Wayne And Kodak Black
Mr. Trump got a lot on his plate right now but apparently, he has been considering pardoning several people before he leaves office including Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.
According to NME citing Bloomberg, both rappers appear on the list of individuals Trump may announce the pardoning of on January 19 – which will be his last full day in office.
As it was previously reported, Wayne pled guilty to a federal firearms charge last month relating to a 2019 incident, in which he was arrested for illegal possession of a handgun during a flight on his jet from California to Florida. He is expected to appear in court on January 28 and faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. Now, Trump pardoning Wayne doesn’t seem unrealistic since the two seem to be pretty good friends. The rap star met with Trump back in October of last year to endorse him, ahead of the big presidential election. “Just had a great meeting with [Trump] besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done,” he said over a picture with the President.
As for Kodak Black, he has been pleading with the President to help him get out of jail. He was sentenced to 46 months in prison on federal weapons charges. He’s admitted to lying on background-check forms while buying multiple firearms. The rappers are among a longer list of potential pardons, including family members, senior White House officials, and possibly even himself!

FBI Seeking The Public’s Help To Identify D.C. Rioters
Following the violent events that unfolded at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday afternoon by Trump supporters, the FBI is now seeking out the public’s help to identify those who were “actively instigating violence” in Washington, D.C.
As a result of yesterday’s incident, four people died amid the riots and protests that occurred as Congress debated the 2020 presidential election Electoral Vote Certification — one of which was shot by Capitol Police. Meanwhile, a total of fifty-two people were arrested, including 26 on Capitol Grounds.
The FBI is now accepting tips and digital media that show rioting and violence inside the Capitol Building and the surrounding area.
“If you have witnessed unlawful violent actions, we urge you to submit any information, photos, or videos that could be relevant at fbi.gov/USCapitol,” the FBI said, adding, “Our goal is to preserve the public’s constitutional right to protest by protecting everyone from violence and other criminal activity.”

BREAKING: Trump Pledges ‘Orderly Transition’ of Power After Congress Certifies Joe Biden’s Win
On Wednesday, President Trump failed to show true leadership as he allowed his supporters to storm through the U.S. Capitol and cause chaos, delaying the counting of the electoral votes cast in the 2020 presidential election, as lawyers were forced to evacuate.
Motivated by the president, the rioters stormed the Capitol and were photographed scaling the building’s walls, breaking windows, roaming through the building, looting and vandalizing lawmaker’s offices. Rioters also ripped an American flag off of a flagpole outside the Capitol building and replaced it with a Trump flag. Trump took hours to finally address the situation saying, “we love you, you’re very special” and doubling down on the baseless claims that the election was “stolen from us” before adding “we have to have peace, so go home.”
Despite all of that, the show still went on as congress later confirmed Biden and Harris’ presidential victory Wednesday night. In a statement released overnight, Trump addressed the American people, finally agreeing to a transition of power, but while still disagreeing “with the outcome of the election.”
“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” Trump said after Congress certified his defeat, according to CNN. “I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again.”

Late Tuesday night while Dr. Dre was in the hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm, the producer’s Los Angeles home was apparently the target of a burglary ring, Fox LA and TMZ reports.
Sources tell the news site that 4 men were spotted on Dre’s Pacific Palisades property Wednesday at around 2 AM. Security spotted them as they were casing the house. Before they could get to the main structure, security confronted them and quickly called police. During a surveillance operation in Brentwood, officers spotted an SUV believed to be involved, and after a short chase the suspects were apprehended. All four were taken into custody.
Law enforcement believes the men saw the breaking news story about Dre being in the hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm and saw a window of opportunity. Inside the suspects’ vehicle, investigators say they found a backpack full of burglary tools, saws and crowbars.
Dr. Dre has not released a public statement on this latest incident. However, he said Tuesday he was “doing great and getting excellent care” at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Grammys 2021 Reportedly Postponed Due to COVID Concerns
The 2021 Grammy Awards show was set to take place on January 31st. However, according to a new report by Rolling Stone, the ceremony is being postponed due to concerns over the spread of Covid-19.
While organizers have not confirmed a new date just yet, sources tell the news site that they are aiming to hold the event sometime in March. The postponement news comes as California climed to 2.5 million coronavirus cases. According to the Los Angeles Times, there have been more than 27,000 deaths in the state due to the pandemic.
The awards show — set to be hosted by The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah at the Staples Center in Los Angeles — was only going to have presenters and performers set to hit the stage in person. Like most award shows last year, it was going to be a limited affair, with many other celebrities accepting from home or performing remotely rather than the typical venue.

Biden Tells Voters That $2,000 Stimulus Checks Will Be Sent “Immediately” If Dems Win Georgia
All eyes on Georgia: If Democrats Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock beat incumbent Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in today’s Georgia runoff elections, then “$2,000 checks will go out the door,” this is according to President-Elect Joe Biden.
Biden made this statement during a campaign event for Ossoff and Warnock in Atlanta. “One state can chart the course—not just for the next four years, but for the next generation,” Biden said in a Monday evening speech in Atlanta. “By electing Jon and the Reverend you can make an immediate difference in your own lives, the lives of people all across this country because their election will put an end to the block in Washington on that $2,000 stimulus check, that money that will go out the door immediately to people who are in real trouble.”
Biden, who is due to take office on January 20, argued during his final pitch that if Georgians let Sen. David Perdue or Sen. Kelly Loeffler win, the two Republican incumbents, “those checks will never get there, ” Business Insider quotes. As we previously reported, direct payments of $2,000 was backed by President Donald Trump, but have been blocked four times by the Republican-controlled Senate, with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell calling them “socialism for the rich.”

Candace Owens is making headlines once again for her controversial remarks. In her latest comments, she claimed that “Black” categories on Netflix and food delivery service Uber Eats — which highlights black-owned businesses — are nothing more than “segregation.”
Owens said on Twitter: “Netflix now has a category for ‘black cinema.’ Uber Eats now has a category for ‘black restaurants.’ The Left has reintroduced segregation back into American society under the guise of progressivism — they used #BLM propaganda to anger black people to the point of blindness,” The New York Post quotes.
The 31-year-old went on to say that Democrats are rebranding “segregation” as “black empowerment,” and said that it wouldn’t stop there. “Keep believing evil white conservatives want to bring harm to you while the actual evil white racist progressives continue to destroy your life.” Now, despite her tweets, social media users were quick to remind Miss Owens of the real purpose of companies highlighting Black content, Black creators and Black-owned businesses.

As it was previously reported, Samantha Lee Gibson filed for divorce from her husband Tyrese Gibson after nearly four years of marriage. A few days ago, the two confirmed the news and said that it was a “painful and significant” decision to go their separate ways.
While the two didn’t share the exact reason for their big split, TMZ reports that in the September petition, Samantha alleges Tyrese had, just a few weeks earlier, cut her off financially, and locked her and their 2-year-old daughter, Soraya, out of the family’s Georgia home. On Sunday, Democrats returned Representative Nancy Pelosi of California to the House speakership for what may be her final term.
This marks Pelosi’s fourth term as House Speaker and the California lawmaker has indicated it will likely be her last, Politico reports. According to the news site, the 80-year-old was narrowly re-elected by a 216-209 vote over House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, which was mostly cast along party lines.
After she was named the chamber’s leader once again, Pelosi said: “It gives me great pride to serve as speaker of the most diverse House in American history, with a record-shattering 122 women.” As People Magazine notes, Pelosi is the only woman to lead the House.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Says No Vaccine For Him Until It’s Available For All Races And Income Groups
On Sunday, Governor Andrew Cuomo delivered a message from Abyssinian Baptist Church in New York City. While speaking, he said he will not take the vaccine until it is available for his group in Black, Hispanic, and poor communities around the state.
“COVID exposed many existing injustices in our society,” the 63-year-old governor told the congregation of Harlem’s historic Abyssinian Baptist Church in a pre-recorded address. “COVID showed that racism is a public health crisis also,” he said, noting it “killed black people in this country at two times the rate of white people,” with testing also “more available in richer, whiter communities,” The New York post notes.
He added, “This can’t happen again, and it can’t happen with this vaccine.” Cuomo also noted that he is “not a typical politician,” and that he is “committed to social and racial justice in the distribution of this vaccine.” He then went on to explain, “And that’s why I say to you today, I want to take the vaccine … But I will not take the vaccine until the vaccine is available for my [age] group in black, Hispanic, and poor communities around the state.”

Massachusetts Cop Buys Dinner For Family Caught Stealing Groceries Instead Of Arresting Them
A Massachusetts cop is currently being praised for helping a struggling family during the holidays.
Massachusetts officer Matt Lima responded to a report of shoplifting at a Stop & Shop, where two women with two young children were accused of putting groceries into bags at a self-checkout kiosk without scanning them. They were caught and detained by Loss and Prevention. However, upon arrival, Lima said he pulled one of the adults to the side while the children, who had no idea what was going on, were occupied by store employees.
The women explained to him that they had fallen on hard times and were just trying to provide a Christmas dinner for the children. Lima said when he heard two kids had been with the women, it didn’t sit right with him. He added that he was reminded of his own children. After speaking to the Stop and Shop Asset Protection associate and checked the receipt for the items they did plan to pay for, he then used his own money to buy $250 in grocery gift cards. Instead of arresting and charging them, Lima, who firmly believes in following the law, let them go. The store just issued the two women a “no trespass” order.
“Obviously, this family was in need and I can’t imagine having to make the decision to go to Stop and Shop and just only pay for what I can afford — or do I go there and try to take things for Christmas dinner for the kids?” said Lima. “They were very thankful, they were kind of shocked. I’m sure a lot of people in that same situation would be thinking that there was going to be a different outcome, and maybe they would be arrested or have to go to court,” NBC affiliate WJAR notes.
Somerset Police Chief George McNeil also praised the officer in a statement saying, “This incident is a true testament of Officer Lima’s great character and decision making.”
Celina Powell Arrested For Driving With A Suspended License
Welp, 2021 is off to a rough for Celina Powell. The Instagram model was arrested late Thursday night for allegedly driving with a suspended license in Miami Florida.
According to records, her bond was set at $1500 and so far it has been submitted. While no further details were shared, there is a video circulating online appearing to show the moment Powell was taken into custody.

While this may seem a little shocking to fans, especially because it happened on New Years Eve, this is not the first time Powell has had a run-in with the law. She was also arrested back in 2018. According to TMZ, at the time, she had upwards of $61,000 worth of outstanding bonds in her name, in and around the Aurora, Colorado area — ranging from shoplifting and evading police to traffic violations.

Rapper Lil TJay Arrested For Gun & Weed Possession
According to TMZ, rapper Lil TJay, was busted Wednesday afternoon in Brooklyn and booked for criminal possession of a weapon, marijuana possession, and grand larceny.
The news site reports that Tjay was in a vehicle with four others when cops pulled them over for switching lanes without signaling. From there, an officer reportedly smelled weed in the car, which resulted in a search and the discovery of four loaded handguns and a big amount of marijuana.
Sources say neither the rapper nor anyone in the vehicle took ownership of the weapons or the weed, so they were all hit with possession charges. As of right now, it’s unclear why they’re also facing the grand larceny charge.
His arrest comes this arrest comes after his encounter with NYPD last weekend. Video online shows the 19-year-old’s music video shoot was swarmed by cops, who claimed people nearby saw waving guns, and though his vehicle was searched … cops found nothing, and he was released.

Looks like Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna are trying to end 2020 on a positive note. According to Page Six, the former couple has come to a custody agreement regarding their 4-year-old daughter, Dream.
The two initially came to a joint custody agreement back in 2017 that neither formally followed. However, the exes finally came to a new agreement that gives both Kardashian and Chyna physical custody across an alternating weekly schedule. A source with knowledge of their case tells the news site that the former couple also agreed to share equal time over holidays and vacations.
In addition to that, both parents agreed to be drug- and alcohol-free while Dream is in their care. This comes after Kardashian accused the model and former reality star of using illicit substances while taking care of the little girl. This Tuesday morning, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris received her first dose of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine in D.C. Her husband, Doug Emhoff, also received the vaccination today.
“That was easy,” Harris said after getting her shot. “I barely felt it.” Harris’ vaccination came a little over a week after President-elect Joe Biden received his first coronavirus vaccination on live television. He received a dose of the Pfizer vaccine at a hospital not far from his Delaware home. After being administered the vaccine in her left arm, Harris said: “I want to encourage everyone to get the vaccine. It is relatively painless. It happens really quickly. It is safe.”

Jessie J Opens Up About Ménière’s disease — Reveals She Spent Christmas Eve In Hospital Unable To Hear Or Walk
Jessie J is opening up about her recent health battle, revealing she was forced to spend Christmas Eve in the hospital after being struck down with Meniere’s disease.
The 32-year-old singer disclosed her illness on a recent Instagram Live in which she revealed that she struggled to hear, sing, or even walk. As the Daily News notes, Ménière’s disease is an ear condition that can cause sudden attacks of dizzy spells vertigo, and loss of hearing.
She explained to fans, “I woke up and felt like I was completely deaf in my right ear, couldn’t walk in a straight line. Basically, I got told I had Meniere’s syndrome. I know that a lot of people suffer from it and I’ve actually had a lot of people reach out to me and give me great advice, so I’ve just been laying low in silence.” She went on to say, “Now’s the first time I’ve been able to sing and bear it. I just miss singing so much and being around anyone.” The star went on: “It could be way worse, it is what it is. I’m super-grateful for my health. It just threw me off.”

But I’m glad I went early and they worked out what it was real quick and I got put on the right medicine so I feel a lot better today. I haven’t sung for so long and when I sing loud, it sounds like there’s someone trying to run out of my ear,” she added.
UPDATE: Nashville Names “Hero” Cops Who Cleared Area Before Christmas Bombing
Several cops are being praised for clearing out an area in downtown Nashville before the big explosion that authorities said was “intentional.”
As we previously reported, six cops were able to evacuate buildings in downtown Nashville before an RV exploded. Nashville Mayor John Cooper praised the officers for their quick thinking and putting themselves in danger to save lives on Christmas morning. “They are heroes. And I am grateful for them and all of Nashville’s first responders,” Cooper said, according to CNN.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department publicly identified those officers, who range from a rookie to an 11-year veteran as: Officer Brenna Hosey, a 4-year veteran; Officer James Luellen, with the department for 3 years; Officer Michael Sipos, a rookie with 16 months on the job; Officer Amanda Topping, with the department for 21 months; Officer James Wells, also with the department for 21 months; and Sergeant Timothy Miller, an 11-year veteran, the New York Post notes. In addition to this, CBS News is reporting that a “person or persons” of interest has been identified in the bombing in downtown Nashville.
According to Kiro7, authorities identified Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, as a person of interest and were searching a home associated with him. No further details were shared.

After getting out of the slammer, Tekashi 6ix9ine said he was going to work on being a better person and a better dad to his 5-year-old daughter, Saraiyah. However, it looks like he couldn’t stick to his word.
According to TMZ, Tekashi 6ix9ine spent Christmas without his daughter once again and his baby mama says it was all his fault! While speaking with the news outlet, Sara says she chose not to allow Tekashi to see their child this Christmas because he’s been completely out of the picture, despite promising to get back in Saraiyah’s life.
She said 6ix9ine told her back in August he wanted to create a genuine relationship with Saraiyah and was going to be more present in her life and involved. Sara even claims Tekashi told her he would support her financially and help with their daughter’s expenses. In addition to that, Sara says she gave him an “open door” policy where he could come see Saraiyah whenever and wherever he wanted. But even with all of that, Tekashi sadly did not fall through.

She says her daughter recently began referring to Tekashi as a “friend,” even though the girl knows he’s the father.

Meanwhile, an unconfirmed YouTube video clip titled “Nashville Explosion” appears to contain audio of the recording, with a female voice urging people to flee just before the blast. “All buildings in this area must be evacuated now. All buildings in this area must be evacuated now,” the voice says. The video has been shared by multiple news outlets including TMZ.
Although authorities say they believe the blast was intentionally set, they have not been more specific nor did they suggest whether or not this was an act of terrorism — domestic or otherwise. An investigation is still underway.

The force of the explosion knocked an officer to the ground. So far, three people were sent to the hospital with injuries.
Foul play was not suspected at first, but Metro Nashville Police Department’s spokesperson, Don Aaron said police now believe the explosion was an intentional act. The immediate downtown area has been sealed off. Meanwhile, the Department of Justice released the following statement, saying:

Black Doctor Dies From Coronavirus After Saying Hospital Was Mistreating Her Because She Is Black
Earlier this month, Dr. Susan posted a video to Facebook to share that she believed she was not receiving proper medical care because she was Black. Moore, an Indianapolis physician was initially being treated for COVID-19 at Indiana University Hospital North.
“I don’t trust this hospital,” Dr. Susan Moore said from her hospital bed in Indiana with an oxygen tube hooked up to her nose. “That is not how you treat patients.” Moore tested positive for the coronavirus on November 29 and said she faced obstacles in getting treatment from White doctors and nurses in the hospital, including begging for the antiviral drug Remdesivir, waiting hours for pain medication, and demanding a CT scan of her chest to prove her pain was real. It eventually detected pulmonary infiltrates and inflamed lymph nodes, she said, but she continued to wait hours for pain medication. “All I know is that I am in intense pain,” Moore said in the heartbreaking video, adding that the doctor downplayed her pain. “[The doctor] made me feel like I was a drug addict, and he knew I was a physician.”
She said she spoke to a patient advocate, who she says told her nothing could be done. She then asked to be transferred to a different hospital but was told that she should just go home. “This is how Black people get killed,” Moore said. “When you send them home and they don’t know how to fight for themselves,” CBS quotes. After being sent home, just less than 12 hours later, she caught a fever and her blood pressure plummeted, so she returned to the hospital, according to her Facebook updates. “Those people were trying to kill me. Clearly, everyone has to agree they discharge me way too soon,” she wrote. “They are now treating me for a bacterial pneumonia as well as Covid pneumonia.” Sadly, Moore died this week after being admitted to another hospital.
She was 52-years-old.
A rep for Indiana University Health told TMZ that the hospital could not comment on individual patients or care because of privacy law. It adds, “As an organization committed to equity and reducing racial disparities in healthcare, we take accusations of discrimination very seriously and investigate every allegation.” The rep continued, “Treatment options are often agreed upon and reviewed by medical experts from a variety of specialties, and we stand by the commitment and expertise of our caregivers and the quality of care delivered to our patients every day.”
UPDATE: House Republicans Have Rejected A Measure That Would Increase Direct Payments To Americans To $2,000
Well, an effort by House Democrats to pass a bill to provide $2,000 stimulus checks has been rejected.
As we previously reported, the Democrats’ pushed to pass the bill after President Trump disapproved of the initial $2.3 trillion must-pass legislation, complaining that the $600 direct payments to Americans included in the bill were “too small.” Instead, Trump shockingly called for the amount to be raised to $2,000 – setting the scene for a potential government shutdown.
According to The Hill, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) sought to pass a measure to boost the check size to $2,000 during the Christmas Eve session of the House by unanimous consent but a number of Republicans in Congress oppose direct payments of that amount. Despite this, Thursday’s effort on the $2,000 direct payments from House Democrats won’t be their last. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a statement that the House on Monday would hold a recorded vote on legislation to increase the size of the checks in the relief package to $2,000.
“To vote against this bill is to deny the financial hardship that families face and to deny them the relief they need,” she said. “Hopefully by then the President will have already signed the bipartisan and bicameral legislation to keep government open and to deliver coronavirus relief.”

COVID-19 Is Now On Every Continent As Antarctica Records Its First Outbreak!
According to CNN, Antarctica has recorded its first cases of Covid-19. So far, a total of 36 people tested positive on a research base, according to a statement released by the Chilean Army.
General Bernardo O’Higgins Riquelme Base confirmed this week that 26 army personnel and 10 civilians working on the base tested positive for the illness. It was said that the infected individuals have been evacuated to the city of Punta Arenas in Southern Chile and a new crew has replaced them at the station.
The 36 individuals are reported to be in good condition and under isolation while there. The news means that Covid cases have now been recorded on all seven continents. Antarctica had been free from the virus for more than nine months.
According to The New York Times, there have been more than 78.1 million cases of the coronavirus worldwide and at least 1.7 million deaths as of Wednesday.

U.S. Officials Urge Calm Despite Finding New Covid-19 Strain Abroad
Over the weekend, the United Kingdom tightened COVID-19 restrictions due to a new, faster-spreading strain of the virus that experts say is moving through the commonwealth. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that parts of London would move to the highest level of restrictions after England’s public health officials confirmed that a variant of COVID-19 found in the country is moving 70 percent faster than other types.
The strain was first detected by scientists in early December, according to the U.K. Health Secretary Matt Hancock. He first announced it on Dec. 14, saying that it was prominent in areas where the virus was spreading faster than expected. According to the Times citing a study published Dec. 18, researchers believe a mutation to the genes that code for COVID-19’s spike protein, the part of the virus that clings to human cells allowing for infection, likely causes its increased transmissibility.
Due to this, dozens of countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Iran, Colombia, and Morocco, have also suspended flights from the U.K. for 48 hours or more. Saudi Arabia has closed its borders and suspended all flights regardless of destination or origin, NBC news notes. Meanwhile, U.S. health officials are monitoring the new strain of COVID-19 emerging in the United Kingdom, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams said on Sunday, adding that any mutation shows people must keep protecting themselves from the novel coronavirus while awaiting vaccination, Reuters report. “Viruses mutate all the time,” Adams told CBS News’ “Face the Nation” program.
“If this is a mutation that is more contagious, then that just means that we need to be that much more vigilant while we wait to be vaccinated.”

On Saturday, the Times reported that Trump held a White House meeting to discuss new ways to resist or overturn Joe Biden’s presidential victory. It was said that he entertained a recommendation his former aide had made on the conservative Newsmax TV to “rerun” the 2020 election under military supervision.
Former national security adviser Michael Flynn had suggested earlier this week that Trump could invoke martial law as part of his efforts to overturn the election that he lost to Joe Biden. It wasn’t clear whether Trump endorsed the idea, but others in the room forcefully pushed back and shot it down, according to the news site. UPDATE: Chicago Mayor Apologizes to Woman Whose Home Was Wrongfully Raided by CPD: “I Am Sorry”
Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago has apologized to a social worker who was handcuffed while naked after police officers burst into her home during a botched raid last year.
As we previously reported, officers broke down the door to Anjanette Young’s apartment on Feb. 21, 2019, as she was getting ready for bed. Not only did they force her to stand naked for more than 40 minutes even as she told them that they had the wrong home, but they also placed her in cuffs until they realized she was not a threat because they had the wrong person. The officers were looking for a 23-year-old suspect who allegedly had a gun, but they didn’t verify the address before conducting the search warrant. That suspect lived in the unit next door to Young. It was also noted that the suspect had an electronic monitoring bracelet on and would’ve been easy to trace.
Young recently obtained the footage after a court forced CPD to turn it over as part of her lawsuit against the police. Nearly two years after the big incident — which the city tried to hide from the public — Mayor Lightfoot is now offering an apology to the victim: “As a human being, as a black woman and as a parent – yes, I am mayor – but absent that reality, I could have easily been Miss Young and I could put myself in her place…all of that is horrifying to me.” She went on to say:
“Miss Young’s dignity that she and all of us deserve was taken from her in those moments. Her obvious trauma and distress were real, profound, and resonate deeply with me,” Lightfoot said Wednesday. “We should all be shaken by what she was forced to experience through no fault of her own… Miss Young, knowing that my words will not change what happened to you and your family almost two years ago, I nonetheless say to you I am sorry.”
Young’s attorney, Keenan Saulter, said that what happened to Young would not have happened were she White and living in the well-to-do neighborhood of Lincoln Park. Young on Wednesday morning filed a lawsuit over the city’s denial of her Freedom of Information Act request seeking footage of the home invasion. Saulter said he plans to file another lawsuit soon over the actions taken by CPD officers in 2019.

Two women hoping to get their hands on a PS5 found themselves all bruised up and empty-handed after a big brawl.
A video obtained by TMZ shows two women having a screaming match at a local Walmart in Charlotte, North Carolina. The confrontation between them went from zero to 100 real quick as it turned violent.
“What the f–k are you gonna do?” one woman can be heard saying in the video as she takes off her purse and jacket. A concerned man can be heard yelling, “Call the cops!” as a crowd gathered around the two brawling women. The lady who took off her purse before the fight is seen lying still on the floor after the other woman punches her repeatedly and stomps on her face, but she wakes up before the video ends. While some customers tell news outlets that the two were allegedly going at it over the gaming system, others claim it was over a different reason.

Vanessa Bryant’s Mom Responds To Extortion Claims: ‘Why Would She Do This To Her Own Mother?’
Vanessa Bryant addressed her mother’s “unimaginably hurtful” lawsuit in a statement on Thursday. Vanessa said her mom, Sofia Laine, is trying to “extort a financial windfall from our family” nearly a year after the tragic death of her husband Kobe and daughter Gianna Bryant.
As we previously reported, Sofia, 68, is suing Vanessa, 38, for financial support, claiming she worked unpaid as a “longtime personal assistant and nanny” for the family, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE Magazine. Sofia claims in the lawsuit that before Kobe’s death, he “promised to take care of” her “for the rest of her life.” Vanessa explained in her IG Story statement post that “I have supported her for nearly 20 years, and she was never my or Kobe’s personal assistant, nor was she a nanny,” Vanessa began. “I have always been a stay-at-home mother and my husband and I were our daughters’ full-time caregivers.” Vanessa says her mom’s claims are “obviously false” and insists she repeatedly tried to “work things out with my mother.” She added, “this lawsuit is frivolous, disgraceful, and unimaginably hurtful. My husband never promised my mother anything, and he would be so disappointed in her behavior and lack of empathy.”

In a new episode of “Peace of Mind With Taraji,” singer and reality star Tamar Braxton opens up about her suicide attempt and admits that she thought her 7-year-old son, Logan, would be better off without her.
In the heartbreaking clip, Braxton, 43 explains, “Logan was the reason why I made that decision. I just felt like he deserved better. I felt like I was embarrassing him, being a fool on TV.” “You thought he would be better without you?” host Taraji P. Henson asked, with Braxton replying, “I thought in that moment.”
The singer went on to tearfully explain, “Because I knew that’s not what my whole life really was. That’s not who I was. I didn’t want him to be embarrassed in front of his friends,” Braxton adds. “Here is this loudmouth ghetto mama.”

Braxton was then transferred to a local hospital facility to receive more specialized mental health treatment. She previously said she had contemplated suicide long before her attempt this year. As we previously reported, in the first leaked audio clip the star can be heard going off on his “Mission: Impossible” crew members for violating COVID protocol and even threatened to fire them if they continue to not follow the rules to help keep the environment on set safe: “If I see you do it again, you’re f—ing gone! And you, don’t you ever f—ing do it again!” Cruise was heard saying to two crew members standing too close to one another in front of a computer screen.
“The first outburst was big but things haven’t calmed since. Tension has been building for months and this was the final straw. Since it became public, there has been more anger and several staff have walked,” a source told the UK outlet. “But Tom just can’t take any more after all the lengths they have gone to just to keep filming at all. He’s upset others aren’t taking it as seriously as him. In the end, he’s the one who carries the can,” the source added.

As we previously reported, Ellen DeGeneres took to social media last week to announce that she tested positive for the coronavirus. At the time, the talk show host explained in an Instagram post that she felt “fine” and will be following CDC guidelines to protect herself and others: “Hi Everyone, I want to let you know that I tested positive for Covid-19. Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now,” the 62-year-old wrote. “Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified and I am following all proper CDC guidelines.”
On Wednesday, Ellen took to social media again to give fans an update. Rebel and Shmurda were among their GS9 affiliates who were arrested back in 2014 by New York Police department officers. Rebel was charged with conspiracy, attempted murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment drugs and criminal weapons possession. Back in September 2016, the two pleaded guilty to conspiracy and weapons possession as part of a deal with prosecutors.
They were sentenced to seven years and received credit for two years, with eligibility for release this year, according Rap-Up. The remainder of Rebel‘s sentence will take place under community supervision.

Gabrielle Union Opens Up About Stepdaughter Zaya Wade’s Coming Out Journey, Says She Felt ‘Outed’ On Instagram
Back in February, Gabrielle Union introduced the world to Zaya Wade when the now-13-year-old came out as transgender. It was a move the some people were against but was also widely supported by her fans. In a new interview, Union reflects on her stepdaughter Zaya’s coming out experiences.
While appearing on the first episode of Facebook Watch’s Peace of Mind With Taraji, the 48-year-old actress explained to host Taraji P. Henson and Tracie Jade Jenkins:
“Zaya’s peace is nonnegotiable,” says Union. “As Zaya gathered more language, she was able to tell us about her identity. She was able to tell us about her sexuality. She was able to tell us ‘I’m trans.’ And she says, ‘I’ve come out a few times. I came out to my teacher in third grade, and then when you guys posted that picture of me in Chicago at my birthday party.’ And it’s just Zaya standing next to her cake,” Union says of the social media snapshot. “And that picture was dissected on certain Black blogs, and the comments were the guessing as to who Zaya was and why. … She said, ‘It felt like I was outed, and I was just standing next to my cake,’” PEOPLE Magazine quoted.
While Dwyane and Gabrielle are supportive of Zaya, the Bring It On and former NBA star admitted they still have a lot to learn.
“She asked for a demisexual flag for her birthday, and Dwyane’s like to me, ‘Do you know what that is?'” Gabrielle joked of the couple having to look the word up.
K. Michelle Claps Back At Trolls After They Criticize Her Over Maino Rant: “He Never Slept With Me Fool!”
Earlier we reported that K. Michelle was filing a lawsuit against rapper Maino for spreading rumors about a hook-up and the singer having bad body odor.
As some people are aware, Maino did an interview with Uncle Murda on “The Breakfast Club” four years ago where the two talked about K. Michelle. While Maino didn’t say much about the singer at the time, he didn’t deny Murda’s claims about the singer having issues downstairs. Not too long ago, Maino also appeared on his own podcast called “Kitchen Talk” where he brought up a scenario with a popular R&B singer he had a sexual encounter with and he claims he smelled a foul odor, Bossip reports.
Clearly, K. Michelle just had enough. On top of calling the rapper out on Clubhouse, the reality star has also taken to our comment section to set the record straight and to respond to a few trolls, letting them know that she is serious about filing a lawsuit against Maino. One user commented: “It’s been over a year now and u did nothing[.] Money running low.” K. Michelle replied, “He been doing it 3 years, and just did it two weeks ago idiot. What type of money am I supposed to get from someone who has none! Singer Jesy Nelson Quits Little Mix After Nine Years
Jesy Nelson from Little Mix has decided to leave after nine years with the X Factor-winning group. The announcement of her departure was Monday on the group’s official Instagram account.
“After an amazing 9 years together Jesy has made the decision to leave Little Mix. This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy. We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being. We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over.”
The band continued: “We know that Jesy leaving the group is going to be really upsetting news for our fans. We love you guys so much and are so grateful for your loyalty and continued support of all of us. We’re looking forward to seeing so many of you on tour. Florida Gators Keyontae Johnson In “Critical But Stable” Condition After Collapsing During Game
Sports fans are currently sending prayers to Florida Gators forward Keyontae Johnson who collapsed during the Florida-Florida State basketball game on Saturday afternoon shortly after a timeout.
According to ESPN, Johnson had just finished an alley-oop dunk when Florida State called a quick timeout. Moments later, Johnson fell to the floor. The Southeastern Conference’s preseason player of the year, was taken off the floor on a stretcher and hospitalized shortly after. It was noted by TMZ that Johnson had tested positive for COVID this past summer. It appears one of the side effects was myocarditis … inflammation of the heart muscle. As of Sunday, Johnson remained in “critical but stable condition,” his team said.
“We appreciate all the medical personnel who have helped Keyontae,” Scott Stricklin, the Florida athletic director, said in a statement Sunday. “Keyontae received terrific care on site by the FSU Staff and at Tallahassee Memorial, which has worked in consultation with UF Health. We’re glad his parents can be by his side, and they all feel the support of Gator Nation,” ESPN quotes.
The 6-foot-5 junior from Norfolk, Virginia, averaged a team-high 14 points last season to go along with 7.1 rebounds. He also led the Gators with 38 steals, NBC News notes.
UPDATE: Queens Nurse Becomes First New Yorker To Get Pfizer’s COVID Vaccine
The Pfizer vaccine has arrived in the U.S. this Monday and a nurse from Queens is the first New Yorker to get it!
Sandra Lindsay, a critical care nurse at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, was vaccinated this morning. The process was filled on-camera at the Queens hospital as Gov. Andrew Cuomo looked on via Livestream. After she was given the shot by Northwell Health director of employee health services Michelle Chester, Lindsay said, “It didn’t feel any different from taking any other vaccine.”
She added, “I am feeling well. I would like to thank all the front line workers,” said Lindsay. “I feel hopeful. I feel relieved.”

Pfizer’s COVID-19 Vaccine Rolled Out In All 50 States!
The first vials of the coronavirus vaccine were shipped Sunday and arrived Monday in 50 states, marking the beginning of a massive effort to stop the rampant spread of the novel coronavirus, which has so far killed more than 298,000 Americans.
As we previously reported, Pfizer was authorized for emergency use in the US by the Food and Drug Administration on Friday night, setting in motion the largest vaccination effort in American history. According to The New York Post, shipments of the vaccine will be arriving in 145 distribution centers today.
Federal officials said that 425 additional sites will be getting shipments Tuesday, and the remaining 66 on Wednesday. President Donald Trump took to Twitter this Monday morning to react to the good news. He said: ”First Vaccine Administered. Congratulations USA! Congratulations WORLD!”
While first responders and the elderly are expected to be one of the first people to receive the vaccine, there was also some talk that employees in the White House should also get it first. However, Trump tweeted Sunday,
“People working in the White House should receive the vaccine somewhat later in the program, unless specifically necessary. I have asked that this adjustment be made. I am not scheduled to take the vaccine, but look forward to doing so at the appropriate time. Thank you!”
Now although the 2021 Grammy Awards nominees were announced last month, the little superstar wasn’t on the list of artists recognized for “Brown Skin Girl,” which was nominated in the best music video category. The 8-year-old can be heard singing a few lines on the track and also contributed to the lyrics. However, Blue’s name along with singer WizKid was recently added to the list of nominees on the award show’s website, according to the Associated Press.
According to Billboard, Blue Ivy is now one of the youngest Grammy nominees in history! She joins her talented mother Beyoncé who is leading the Grammy Award nominations with 9 nods, including song and record of the year for “Black Parade.”
The other nominees for best music video are Future featuring Drake’s “Life Is Good,” Anderson.Paak’s “Lockdown,” Harry Styles’ “Adore You” and Woodkid’s “Goliath.” The 63rd Grammy Awards is set to take place Jan. 31 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
The duo created the fund which is expected to benefit nearly 1,000 students in the Philly area. The money, which will go toward the 2020-2021 school year, will help students from pre-K through high school get access to resources they desperately need during the pandemic, TMZ reports.
It was said that the students from poverty-stricken homes who are selected to receive a scholarship will be able to use the money to either attend private/parochial schools throughout the city with costs covered. For those who want to continue virtual learning, they can use the funds to access equipment like WiFi, laptops, and tablets.

Lil Wayne’s Ex-Manager Reportedly Sues Rapper for $20 Million
Looks like Lil Wayne just can’t catch a break. According to TMZ, the rapper is reportedly being sued by his ex-manager for $20 million!
In legal documents obtained by the news site shows that Ronald Sweeney filed the lawsuit against the New Orleans rapper over unpaid commission. He claims Wayne initially hired him as his attorney in 2005 to help him negotiate his contract with Birdman’s Cash Money. The long legal battle eventually settled back in 2018, with Sweeney’s help. However, the lawyer-turned-manager says he was not fully compensated for his work in the Cash Money deal.
In the suit, filed by his attorney Ed McPherson, Sweeney notes that Lil Wayne asked him to fire Cortez Bryant — Weezy’s manager and childhood friend back in May 2018 over a conflict of interest in a legal dispute involving Drake and Cash Money. Sweeney claims he did so, and took over Bryant’s duties, and got Wayne to give him a pay raise from 10% to 17% commission. However, he says Bryant and Mack Maine somehow conspired against him, which made Wayne fire him later that year.

It was even noted that in June, Lil Wayne sold his masters to Universal Music Group for more than $100 million. Though, Sweeney doesn’t seem to be asking for any money from that deal. However, he brings it up to point out Wayne has the cash to pay him what he claims he’s owed, TMZ reports.
Lil Wayne has not publicly spoken out on this latest lawsuit.

LeBron James Outraged Over Clip Of Football Coach Smacking A Child During A Game
LeBron James took to social media late Wednesday to express his anger over a viral video clip showing a coach assaulting a nine-year-old during the American Youth Football Championships.
For those who didn’t see the clip yet, a Savannah Gators coach was caught on camera assaulting the young football player, hitting him in the head multiple times before throwing him to the sideline. The little boy was visibly distraught and walked away to the sidelines in tears. The disturbing video has since found its way online and fans have called for Savannah Gators to get rid of the coach immediately.
LeBron shared his reaction online saying, “If I there and it’s not even my kid we gone have more than words for sure,” the Lakers superstar said over the clip shared by Shannon Sharpe. Spike Lee Presents Teen With Courage Award For Recording George Floyd’s DeathDarnella Frazier has been recognized with a prestigious national courage award for filming the arrest and death of George Floyd.
During Tuesday night’s PEN America Virtual Gala, famed director Spike Lee presented Frazier with the 2020 PEN/Benenson Freedom of Expression Courage Award for her actions on May 25. “My sister, I commend you and you deserve this award,” said Lee.
As we previously reported, the 17-year-old took out her cell phone and filmed former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on the neck of George Floyd for nearly nine minutes. Chauvin is now facing murder charges. The teen’s video sparked worldwide protests and a path for change. While speaking about the award, Frazier admitted, “It’s just a lot to take in, but I couldn’t say thank you enough for everything that’s been coming towards me.”
Floyd Jr. was just 46 years old when he was killed during an arrest after a store clerk alleged he had passed a counterfeit $20 bill in Minneapolis. Chauvin posted $1 million bail back on October and was released from custody. He was allowed to leave the state while he awaits trial, according to new bail conditions outlined in court records. The other three other officers involved were fired and are charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.

Nevada Hospital Treats COVID-19 Patients In Parking Garage As Cases Continue To Spike
As hospitalizations soar in Nevada, the state has resorted to treating coronavirus patients in a hospital parking garage!
Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno already converted two floors of its parking garage into an alternative care site in early November to handle an overflow of COVID-19 patients if necessary. The Silver State reported a 14-day positivity rate of 21.2 percent on Monday — the highest since the pandemic began. “Our frontline caregivers are seeing things that they never would have imagined,” Tony Slonim, the president and CEO of Renown Health, told CBS News.
Slonim, whose father died from COVID-19 the same day the parking garage site opened said the fight against the virus is personal. “This condition took my father’s life,” he told CBS. “We couldn’t be there for him, but I know as a former ICU doctor that they were there comforting him.”
Overall, the pandemic has claimed more than 2,300 lives in Nevada since March, state data shows.
Margaret Keenan, a grandmother of four, made history Tuesday after she got the shot and officially launched the United Kingdom’s nationwide coronavirus immunization campaign. Keenan, who turns 91 next week, said she felt happy after getting the potentially lifesaving birthday present.
“I feel so privileged to be the first person vaccinated against COVID-19,” said Keenan, who received the shot at 6:30 a.m. U.K. time. “It’s the best early birthday present I could wish for because it means I can finally look forward to spending time with my family and friends in the new year after being on my own for most of the year,” NPR quotes. As we previously reported, England was the first Western country to approve Pfizer’s vaccine for emergency use. The U.S. is expected to grant their approval to the Pfizer vaccine in the coming days.

Ohio Club Cited For Violating Covid-19 Health Orders After 500 People Attend Indoor Trey Songz Concert
Welp, a nightclub in Columbus, Ohio has been cited for COVID violations of public health orders after they hosted a concert attended by around 500 people with no social distancing measures in place!
According to NBC, the club called “Aftermath Columbus,” located at 1921 Channingway Center Drive, is accused of improper conduct and disorderly activities in violation of its liquor permit after patrons were observed sharing alcoholic beverages and making no attempts to maintain social distancing. It was said that undercover agents from the Ohio Investigative Unit attended the event on Saturday, December 5, and made the report.
To make matters worse, the Ohio Investigative Unit told NBC News in a statement that the venue also had no physical barriers in place to encourage social distancing and most employees and patrons were not wearing masks, the statement continued. Photos and videos from the event were posted online and showed patrons, mostly maskless, near the stage as singer Trey Songz performed. “B.A.P.S” And ”Eve” Actress Natalie Desselle-Reid Passes Away After Battle With Colon Cancer

“Just absolutely decimated by this news… Actress Natalie Desselle, a bright shining star passed away this morning. I got to know her when my mom was managing her. She will be so missed…sending out prayers to her children and husband.

Reid, who was best known for her roles in comedy films “B.A.P.S,” in which she starred alongside Halle Berry, and “How To Be A Player,” in which she starred with Bernie Mac, Brandy’s version of “Cinderella“ as well as the hit show “Eve,” was just 53-years-old. Her death was also confirmed on her Instagram account. A family member told TMZ she died of colon cancer after having been diagnosed earlier this year. She was in hospice care in her final days and was surrounded by family when she died.
Her manager Dolores Robinson also paid tribute to the star, writing on Twitter: “Natalie Desselle the beautiful talented actress passed away this morning. Natalie was a bright light. She was an amazing actress and comedian but also an awesome mother & wife. Sending prayers to her family. I had the pleasure of managing her career,” Mirror UK quotes.
