As it previously reported, Lamar was found unconscious in a Las Vegas brothel after overdosing on what he’s since described as an “unholy concoction of cocaine, cognac and cannabis.” During a Facebook Live interview with “Addiction Talk,” the former NBA star said he was “really hurt” and “embarrassed” when he woke up from his coma and learned that he had ingested drugs.
“I didn’t take anything that night,” he said. “I was really hurt and almost in some sense afraid because somebody just tried to take my life.” Lamar, 41, didn’t go into specific details about his suspicions. However, he previously blamed Dennis Hof, the owner of the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada, for his hospitalization.
During a TV appearance back in 2019, he said: “I think Dennis Hof … I don’t know what he had against me, but I didn’t do drugs that night, to be honest with you. So I don’t know if he tried to poison me, or … I don’t know what he had against me. He tried to kill me.”
In his latest interview, Odom said he believes God spared him because He knew Odom didn’t voluntarily ingest any illicit substances the night of Oct. 13. He said after hitting “rock bottom” it forced him to get clean for good.
