HU Exclusive: Giving You The Keys To The Royal Red Carpet At The 2018 Black Girls Rock!

On August 26, many celebrities gathered together to celebrate another year of black women and black excellence at the 2018 Black Girls Rock Awards!

Hollywood Unlocked was front and center on the royal red carpet where we got to speak to a few celebs who were there to honor the achievements of Black women across a variety of industries.

We talked with stars like Skai Jackson, Kyla Pratt, Rapsody and more who all shared how important it is to highlight and support women who are are making major contributions to the world, like Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, dance pioneer Judith Jamison and many more.

The big award show will air live on BET September 9th. The evening, hosted by Queen Latifah, honored Janet Jackson, Naomi Campbell, Lena Waithe and more, as well as paid tribute to Aretha Franklin.
