Tiffany Haddish Reveals Plans To Adopt A Child:’I’m On That Process Now!’

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight published Tuesday, superstar Tiffany Haddish opened up about her plans to adopt a child.

While speaking with the ET’s Kevin Frazier, the comedian revealed that she has already completed the parenting classes required to start the adoption process. Haddish explained that it’s something that’s “super important” in her life plan, “for a multitude of reasons.”

The 41-year-old who was in the foster system herself as a child, explained, “I’m currently looking, deciding on adopting.” She went on the say, “First of all, especially after this pandemic, there are so many children left without their parents. There are a lot of people that need to be loved. It’s Foster Care Awareness Month right now, and I think we all should be aware and try to do what we can.”

She added, “I really wanted to be a foster parent, but because I’m at a certain level of success, my lawyer suggested that it’s probably best to just adopt, and I’m on that process now,” she continues. “I want to get somebody that’s five and up. You know, already knows how to use the restroom, already knows how to talk, already knows how to communicate. All I want to do is pour knowledge in … get them ready for the big, bad world. That’s what I want to do.”

While she has that pretty much set, Haddish is currently focusing on the all-new season of her and Ali Wong’s animated Adult Swim series, Tuca & Bertie.

Tiffany Haddish Reveals She Tested Positive For COVID-19: ‘I’ve Been Tested 12 Times’

Just days after it was announced that actors Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Robert Pattinson had tested positive for COVID-19, anther Hollywood stars is coming forward about their latest coronavirus diagnosis.

Actress Tiffany Haddish is now opening up about how she tested positive for COVID-19. While speaking to Dr. Anthony Fauci in a video posted on her YouTube page this week, the star explained, “I was working on a movie and someone in the movie contracted coronavirus,” Haddish told Fauci. “I was not in direct contact with them, but they sent all of us home, we stopped the movie. They suggested I go get tested. I got tested, got the results back two days later, they said I didn’t have the coronavirus.”

Haddish said she got tested again when someone else she knew tested positive for COVID: “Get the tests the second time. I’m not feeling any symptoms or anything, and it comes back like two days later, and they said I did have the coronavirus,” she said. Despite not having any symptoms, “The Girls Trip” star said she remained in quarantine with her dogs.

“Then I went and tested again, didn’t have the virus, and then I got tested for antibodies, they said I had antibodies,” Haddish said. “That was three months ago, I’ve been tested 12 times now because I’ve been working and everything. Then I get tested again, no virus, and then I had them test me for antibodies again, and then they said I don’t have any antibodies,” she added. “So I think I’m superhuman,” People Magazine quotes.

Fauci, who is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases then gave Haddish some helpful advice. “Sit a certain distance away and avoid crowds,” he said, adding the best way to boost an immune system was to “lead a healthy life. Get good sleep,” Fauci said. “Exercise. Those are the best things that are so much better than a bunch of herbs that really have never really been shown to do that.”

If you need something to do for your #FunFriday then you might want to check out “Like A Boss” starring Tiffany Haddish, Salma Hayek and Rose Byrne! The film is not just your average chick-flick movie about girls breaking up with their bad boyfriends and trying to get revenge. Instead, it’s about a bunch of ladies in the beauty industry who go above and beyond to protect their brand in order to stay successful, all while trying their best to keep a tight sisterhood.

Hollywood Unlocked was on the pink carpet at the star-studded premiere in New York where we got to talk with some of the cast. While beloved comedian Tiffany Haddish explained that the movie will teach viewers about the true meaning of friendship, Rose Byrne explained how much fun it was to become besties with both Haddish and Hayek.

The fabulous Billy Porter strutted on down to us and explained what it meant to be apart of a film with powerful women. We also got to chop it up with Jacob Latimore, Jennifer Coolidge, hilarious actors Jimmy O. Yang and Ryan Hansen, and even Hayek who tried her best to sum up the film in three words;

“Funny, funny, and…FUNNY!”

On the heels of the insurmountable success of Marvel’s box office hit ‘Black Panther,’ BET Networks along with creator Jeff Friday hosted the 2018 American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Honors to highlight Hollywood’s African-descending trailblazers and overall, its multicultural camaraderie.

In addition to its creator, hitting the carpet with Hollywood Unlocked were the show’s host Cedric The Entertainer; and honorees: Ava DuVernay; Tiffany Haddish; Omari Hardwick and Billy Dee Williams; along with classic TV tribute honorees of ‘Martin:’ Martin Lawrence, Carl Anthony Payne, Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell-Martin.

Furthermore, Black Excellence showed up and showed out so much that host Cedric The Entertainer entered the stage with the introduction as “actor, comedian and original King of Wakanda;” and followed it up with:

“I am your host, Chadwick Boseman….It looks like the Nigerian Oscars up in here.”

Additionally, at the honors DuVernay received the Industry Visionary Award, Williams with the Hollywood Legacy Award, Hardwick with Distinguished ABFF Alumni Award and Haddish with the Rising Star Award.

Also, the American Black Film Festival stemming Honors show also gave away awards for Movie of the Year and Television Show of the Year, in both Comedy and Drama genres.

For more than two decades the ABFF has illuminated and beared excellence in independent Black cinema; in premiering and supporting the work and many careers of today’s much successful artists.
