Vanessa Bryant Files Complaint To Publicly Name Sheriff’s Deputies Who Shared Kobe Helicopter Crash Photos
The officers who shared “unauthorized” photos of the site of the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others, need to be held accountable for their actions and Vanessa Bryant is making sure that happens.

This week, Vanessa Bryant’s lawyers filed an amended complaint in federal court that added the four deputies and the L.A. County Fire Department to her civil rights suit against the county, and the Sheriff’s Department. According to the Los Angeles Times, it seeks damages for negligence and invasion of privacy, alleging deputies and firefighters took and shared photos of the children, parents, and coaches who all died in the horrific Jan. 26, 2020, crash.
Vanessa even took to social media this Saturday to say, “Kobe’s name was released when he was accused in 2003. Why should sheriff’s get away with hiding? #doublestandard.” However, county lawyers want to keep the deputies’ names under seal, arguing that making them public would make the deputies’ addresses and other personal information only a click away on the internet and that hackers could target them.
Aside from this, Vanessa also clapped back at Evan Rachel Wood and film producer Abigail Disney on social media today after they called her late husband a rapist. Check out what she had to say below:
