Actor Terry Crews was one of the first and only male actors in Hollywood who publicly shared his encounter with sexual harassment in wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
Hollywood Unlocked recently caught up with the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” actor where he opened up and further explained why he wasn’t afraid to speak on such a sensitive and personal topic.
“I’m a human being, and I feel that everyone telling their stories is how the world gets changed.” Crews said on the red carpet for his new comedy flick “Where’s The Money”.
“That was exactly why I wanted to do it because especially in masculine culture it’s ‘don’t talk’, and I had to support these ladies. These ladies have been telling the truth and they couldn’t speak out because of fear. But I got your back.”
Terry went on to explain the difference between what he calls the “Pre-Weinstein era”.
“There’s a pre-Weinstein era, and a post-Weinstein era. And I feel good because now everyone can breathe and go to work and know that that is what’s it’s all about.”
Terry further spoke on his latest endeavors in the launch of his new video game app and furniture line.
