Since the news of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna’s tragic deaths, artists from around the globe have created various artworks to honor the NBA legend’s legacy.
1. Basketball Court Mural
Artist Mike Swift painted a black and white mural of Kobe Bryant and Gianna hugging each other on the floor of an outdoor basketball in Taguig, Philippines. Swift said it took him 24 hours to completely finish the painting. The adjacent walls had phrases and hashtags such as “Mamba & Mambacita” and “Legends Never Die Out #MambaOut.”
2. Portrait Of Rubik’s Cubes
Steven Brundage honored Kobe Bryant’s memory by creating a portrait of the basketball player using only Rubik’s cubes. Brundage says he plans to auction off his creation and the profits will be donated Bryant’s foundations.
3. Artoon
Artist Artoon created this mural of Kobe and Gigi in downtown Los Angeles.
4. KOBE!
While this isn’t a mural in the traditional sense, it still resonates with Kobe Bryant fans all over the world. Markus Prime created a sketch of a childhood memory where kids would roll up a paper ball and shout “KOBE!” while shooting it into a trash can.
5. A Father’s Love
Lavan Wright draws a touching portrait of Kobe and Gigi at a younger age. The artwork shows the father-daughter duo with angel wings and tiny crowns.

6. Backboard Portrait
Artist Bou Bou used an unconventional way to paint a portrait of the late NBA legend. He used the backboard of a basketball hoop and painted the artwork upside down. After finishing, you can see a half-face painting of Kobe Bryant.
7. Legends Creating Legends
This piece by the artist known as Lee Oslen originally created this piece back in November but it went viral instantly after news of Kobe and Gianna’s deaths. Olsen said it was a part of a series he created surrounding athletes and their talented children.

8. Daddy’s Girl
This mural was painted at the Pitchfork Market in downtown Los Angeles by artist Jules Muck. It reflects on the bond Kobe and Gianna shared.
9. Los Angeles Icon
Artist Jonas Never’s mural in Los Angeles proves why Kobe Bryant is an icon in the city. This was another mural that was created prior to Kobe’s death but went viral quickly.
