Authorities in Los Angeles are searching for a man who uses the race card to convince people to hand him their phones.
Patch.com reports that the suspect arrived at a Boost Mobile store near Vanowen street on Tuesday afternoon and asked a employee to show him the new iPhone. He began to accuse the employee of racism when they refused to show the new phones and directed him to the display phones.
The LAPD released a statement about the suspect:
“Once the phones were in his reach, the suspect grabbed the phones and fled the business.”
The suspect used the same tactic at another mobile store, stealing iPhones and the Samsung Galaxy S8.
